Merlin, was Arabella ever sick of the library! She was sick of her dorm room and sick of her common room too. She was just plain tired of studying. Yes, the Pecari wanted to do her best on RATS but she could not spend every minute preparing for them. She was pretty confident on her Transfiguration and Defense practicals. Arabella had been working harder in the latter and keeping an eye on her wretched cousin. She hadn't forgotten about the spider incident. The seventh year shuddered. She would never forget the spider incident. It was the first glimpse she'd gotten that Carrie was truly evil instead of just a rotten cruel little brat.
In fact, that was the way she'd helped out the most last term, patrolling the halls for threats and any dark creature that had found it's way into the school, as well as the sixth year. Who knew who that foul beast would choose to torment? It would most likely be Serena or Chaslyn or one of the Manger boys. Well if Carrie harmed a hair on Arabella's younger sister's head, Arabella would rip the sixth year's out bit by bit. Or make her grow it in places that no woman would want it. Or a nice acne curse. Blisters. Boils. A nasty rash. Or just a good old fashioned turning her into a worm. For the Crotalus, being a worm would be an actual improvement.
Right now though, Arabella didn't want to do anything . She sort of wanted to just...get out of here. She'd been studying more than she'd ever studied before and she'd really, truly had enough. The Pecari was starting to get an idea of what it was like to be Amity and Chaslyn, the latter of whom studied harder than either herself or the fifth year, both of whom had actual very big tests coming up. Obviously, Arabella was handling the studying better than Amity was, but yeah, RATS on top of last semester, and just the culmination of seven years of schooling was starting to leave her feeling a little...antsy.
Granted, she wouldn't be going right into marriage after graduation either. Perhaps Arabella would travel a bit. It wasn't unheard of for women to go to school in her family, but she...didn't want any more of that . Merlin, if the Pecari had to do four more years of studying, she would go completely insane. Still, she'd rather relax on a beach somewhere or go see Europe-not that she'd never been there, of course. It was just that it would be different going as an adult on her own than with her family.
Arabella walked into the water room to find the exact tropical beach she'd been imagining before. She smiled and set her towel down on the sand. Maybe later she'd go swimming in the beautiful cerulean water but for right now she lied down and stretched out.
