To Professor Kiva Kijewski [Office] by Alban the Owl

Professor Kijewski-

I recently received a letter from my daughter, Eavan Valentine (a second year), saying that you gave out puffskins to the students and said they could keep them with parent permission. After reading what she had written about these puffskins, I've decided to let her keep it, if you are still going to let her have it.

Of course, if Eavan's description of these creatures (eats anything, takes anything that's thrown at it, and is small) is incorrect in any way, then my permission is revoked. Other than that, let her enjoy.

Have a wonderful day.

To Eavan and Mr. Valentine by Professor K

Kiva read over the letter with a small satisfied smile. More of these owls arrived as the days went on. She was grateful to have these puffskeins be given to their rightful owners. She scribbled down on two different parchments quickly before sealing them closed. One she tied immediately to the owl that had delivered the original permission. Giving the owl some treats, Kiva stood from her desk. "Off you go, make sure your Master gets that."

She left her office quickly, walking away from the library and into an empty corridor. She continued to walk for a few more minutes before entering a corridor that seemed hardly ever used. This corridor used to be where the CoMC class was once taught many many years ago. Long before Kiva had even been a student here. Now, hidden away from students eyes, wards protecting the doors to allow only the professors to cross through, the corridor filled with different doors was the habitate for most of the creatures housed beneath the school.

Entering a room, after performing a series of complex wand movements, Kiva looked around briefly. "Eavan." She stated firmly with a flick of her wand. After a seconds hesitation, one of the puffskeins hovered high above the rest. Satisfied, Kiva took the puffskein and exited the room. Making sure the wards were once again in place, Kiva returned to her office.

Taking out an Owl, Kiva placed the puffskein in a small box filled with holes and tied it to the owl along with her other letter. "These go to Eavan Valentine in Teppenpaw. Deliver them quickly." With that, Kiva returned to what she had been doing prior to the small interuption.

The first letter read:

Dear Mr. Valentine,

I'm grateful to find that you are willing to allow Eavan the chance to care for the puffskein. These animals are exactly as she described them. They are small, fluffly, and no bother at all. They are scavengers and will find their own food or are happy with leftovers. Rough house makes them happy, and they're too small to do any sort of damage.

If you have any further inquires about this creature or any other creatures studied here at Sonora, feel free to write and I'll be happy to answer them.

Sincerely,
Deputy Headmistress
Professor Kiva Kijewski

The second letter read:

Dear Eavan,

I'm happy to say that your father has given you permission to keep your puffskein. I've already delivered the creature to you. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to come by my office.

Sincerely,
DH Kijewski\n\n
