It could be a lot, lot worse, Charlie mused as she pinned up the roster for this year's Quidditch team. For a start, they had actually managed to scrape seven players, so they had escaped that worse case scenario. They didn't have any reserves, which Charlie would have liked (especially seeing as all the other teams had reserves) but she wasn't in a position to be picky. Likewise, she wasn't genuininely thrilled to have two first years as Beaters, but as long as they learned to only hit the opposition then all would be okay. Besides, she'd done some extra shuffling that was explained at the bottom of the team list.Chasers: Charlotte Abbott (Captain), Sam Bauer, Renée Errant
Beaters: Topher Calhoun, Phoenix Lucore
Seeker: Marissa Stephenson (Asst. Captain)
NOTE: As we have no reserves, some of you will be training for two positions. Topher is starting Beater but will also be training as Chaser. Phoenix is Beater but will also be training as Seeker. Any problems, see Charlie.
Not that she expected them to be serverly damaged by the other teams, but if it came down to it, the captain knew she'd much rather have a Seeker than two Beaters, and having an extra Chaser on hand never hurt. She thought it was good to be flexible - you could never tell what was going to happen on the Quidditch pitch.
