Quidditch List by Captain Helena Layne
It never gets any easier.That was Helena's main thought as she finished up the list, read it over one more time to make sure she hadn't gotten a position or three reversed, and went down the stairs to put it up. Things hadn't gone at all as she'd hoped for.
Alexis hadn't been the best Seeker, but Helena was still willing to bet she'd do better than the second year she had finally more or less bullied into taking the job. The poor kid hadn't been on a broom in a year, and by the sounds of it, she was Muggleborn on top of it. No one had volunteered, though, and the only other choice she'd seen had been to blackmail Rachel into it, which wouldn't work for long. A brat she might be, but the girl was smart; it wouldn't take long for her to figure out that Helena felt quite as much horror as she did at the prospect of anyone knowing they were related.
So she posted the list and hoped for the best. It didn't seem there was anything else she could do.
