A letter for Joella by "Gia Donovan"
OOC: Takes place sometime before the Quidditch Final.BIC:
Things had been hard for Joella lately, and Sammy knew it. There had been a death in the family that required Joella to leave Sonora for a little while, and now that she was back, she had a lot of catching up to do, plus the Quidditch final coming up. So things for her had to be pretty rough.
And that just broke Sammy’s heart, because not only was Joella her friend, but the older Pecari was her first substantial crush. She hadn’t gotten to see Joella too much since she got back because she was just so buried beneath things. Sure, she was at Quidditch, but she had little to no time to be social right now. Sammy missed her.
She wanted to do something nice for her, so she scribbled down a letter:
Joella,
You are such a strong, beautiful young woman, and an amazing friend. Just keep moving forward. Things will get better soon.
Sammy wrote and rewrote it a dozen times, but no draft was any less.. Flattering. But she meant every word of it and had no idea how else to phrase it. There was always the option of just throwing it away and forgetting about it, but the brunette felt like she had to do something, give Joella a reason to smile.
So she decided to pin it to Joella’s bedroom door. She expected it for a moment and realized that she hadn’t signed it. Sammy produced a pen from her pocket and dragged it across the page. But at the last moment, she panicked and maybe did something she shouldn’t have.
