Letter for Jamie Park by Uzume Shinohara

It was a sunny day in springtime when Uzu sat down at her desk to write Jamie-kun a letter. With second year studies, dance and Quidditch practice, Uzume managed to find a never ending list of activities to keep herself busy in the year. At the same time she felt that she was neglecting an important friend, although she would likely say otherwise to his face if confronted about it. It was just part of their friendship she supposed, and she was perfectly content with that. She took out a clean piece of parchment and began to write. Writing letters was an enjoyable pastime, it gave her a chance to show off her calligraphy.

Jamie-kun,

I’m bored.

Let us go to the Renaissance Faire together. I am not sure if it is like the festivals they have in Nikko, but if it is let us have a competition to see who can win the most games. Winner gets to make the loser do whatever they want.

Shino

Uzu had contemplated signing the letter as Uzume. However, it didn’t feel quite right. She contemplated what it would be like for Jamie-kun to call her by her first name, and the thought brought a flush of red to her cheeks. It just felt awkward, and shaking on her head, she brushed the thought from her mind. Enclosing the letter in an envelope, complete with the wax seal of her family, she sent it off to Jamie-kun's dorm.
