Evan stood in the Art room in awe. He had been in here before of course, but it never ceased to amaze him. The possibilities were just...unlimited and he often didn't know quite where to begin. The Aladren never planned anything out so he never came in here with any intent but to create something. It was as if his work created itself and just used his hands to come into being.
Now what to make today? He'd finished his last project, which were rock creatures with googly eyes wearing clothing made out of beads. Those had been a lot of fun and if Evan didn't think of something else, he could always make more. He kind of wished he had a young female relative that he could give them to so they could use them as dolls. There was Arianna, but even if the Aladren ever saw his niece-he'd never even actually met her, which was kind of sad really-he honestly couldn't imagine Chelsea's daughter playing with anything that was homemade.
Let's see, there were the puffballs. Evan could always do so much with those. He liked to use them to decorate his projects especially in combination with his favorite material-googly eyes. The third year had been on a real googly eyes kick lately. With puffballs though, Evan would have them encircle things, or he'd make puffskiens. Brightly colored puffskiens with googly eyes. Or he could make an entirely picture of googly eyes.
And then there were balls made out of something called styrofoam. Those were fun. He could decorate them with different things, puffballs, googly eyes, sequins, beads and stick them together in a pyramid. He could also use the color changing charm. The more charms he learned, the further Evan could go with his art. It was his favorite class.
His eyes fell on a box of fabric scraps. Of course, he could use them to make some sort of patchwork butterfly-or something resembling a butterfly-for Autumn. She seemed down all the time and Evan wanted to cheer her up. He liked to make things for others, particularly his mother and Serenity. His mom especially seemed to appreciate his work but right now, the third year wanted to make his cousin feel better.
Evan set to work on the project, becoming so engrossed that he didn't even notice that someone else had entered the room until he heard a sound and happened to look up. "Oh, hello there." He greeted them.
