After being introduced to the common room, Erica Ricketts made her way to the first years girls dormitory. Climbing up the stairs with ease, she came to the door. Opening it slowly, she glanced into the room, only to find it empty. Marching over to a bed, she plopped her huge duffle bag onto it, thereby claiming it hers. Erica started unpacking her things, and came across the long box hidden towered the bottom of the bag. Her wand. She had yet to use it, but was excited to learn what powers she had.
Erica was excited for the new year and new possibilities, and was out to prove that she was, indeed, the best. Now, that was not her trying to be cocky (though she was quit arrogant), it meant she was determined and confident. She heard the door open behind her as another girl entered. "Hello!" She said, " I am Erica Ricketts, and you are...?"
Jhonice made he way up to the dormitory. She had cleverly deduced this was the girl's side after seeing Jose come from the other side. Anyway, she had gone through all the introductory stuff, she had signed up for Quidditch try-outs, now it was time to see her room. Where was she going to be living for the next few years? So far the school had been amazing and this would no doubt follow suit. Aunt Gwen had told her all about her dorm rooms and some of the adventures that she had with her roommates. Jhonice was looking forward to this, it would be fun!
She found the door, opened it and walked in. There was another girl already here, Jhonice recognized seeing her at the opening feast, and was really glad when she introduced herself. Erica Ricketts. Ricketts, Ricketts, it didn't ring any bells but that was alright. She smiled at her new roommate and returned the salutation, "Hi! I'm Jhonice Treaver." She noticed her trunk by one of the beds and wandered over to it. It seemed like she had just packed it yesterday... oh wait, she had. Time to unpack. She popped open the lid and began sorting. "So, what do you think of the school so far?" Jhonice asked Erica as she worked.

Erica looked at the girl who entered, as she introduced herself at Jhonice Treaver. She wondered what kind of family she came from, muggle or wizard, but it didn't actually matter to Erica. It was hard at her old school for her to make friends, so she didn't want to give a bad first impression. Erica replied to her roommates question carefully. "So far, I haven't really seen much of the school. Everything is so new and exciting. I come from a non-magical family, so this is all so... strange."
Pulling open the box she was fingering, she yanked out her wand, 7 inches with Unicorn Tail Horn for the core, and willow wood surrounding it. Thrusting it up into the air, she continued, "I can't wait to use this thing! The mischief i could cause... Back at my old school, I would get into so much trouble, and I would always get away with it! I think I didn't get caught because I was a witch, ya know. Do ya know any spells?" Erica asked. She finally paused to take a breath, waiting for her new acquaintance's answer.
Jhonice smiled as she continued putting away her things. Erica seemed nice, this would work, having roommates would be fun! "Cool, you're muggleborn? Both of my parents are magical, but my uncle is a muggle. He's cool, even if he has no idea what is going on when he comes to visit." She giggled as she thought of Uncle Marshall's confusion around her house. "Don't worry though, I grew up around magic, and this place is still a little strange. I can't wait to explore!"
As Erica started waving her wand around, Jhonice's smiled turned into a huge grin and she pulled out her own wand. "To Mischief!" She cheered. "I don't know if you'll be so lucky around here though." Her eyes darted back and forth as though checking to see if they were being watched. "Muggles aren't to difficult to fool, they practically edit magic out of their minds as they see it. Wizards and Witches run this place, they won't be as easy to fool, but I'm ready to try." Her grin turned mischievous. "I don't know much yet though, they won't let us use magic outside of this place. But once we do..." her sentence trialed into a quiet maniacal giggle.
