Team Roster by Cap'n Jose
OOC: Seeing as how Tristan hasn't posted yet, I'm retroactively deciding he wasn't at the try-outs after all. BIC:After the try-outs, Jose consulted briefly with Mel, but since both girls had done well in the keeper try-outs and Tristan had failed to show up, there weren't really a lot of decisions to make. Starbuck simply had the size, experience, and past history to make her the better candidate. The 'returning players are not guaranteed their spot' thing was a hold over from past captains and was really more so that if a patch of excellent players suddenly showed up and the team was already filled with poor ones, Pecari wouldn't be stuck with a worse team than it otherwise would have had. Starbuck was a good player, though, and had played well for them for three years already; all she really had to do was show up and not suck.
She had accomplished both of those goals, so the rest of the roster fell into place fairly easily. Sophia could clearly handle a Quaffle fairly well, so Jose was putting her in his place as Chaser and taking the empty Beater spot himself. It should be an interesting year.
