Ms. Cooper-Forrester;It has come to my attention that you have not turned in your signed syllabus from the first Charms lesson. Please return the syllabus with this owl. If you need a new one, you may retrieve one from my classroom.

The darkly feathered owl perched on the arm of a chair, absent-mindedly preening itself as he awaited the first year the letter was addressed to. He had strict orders to return only with a response. Being a rather tempermental bird, it had decided that if the errand took too long, he would simply peck at the first year until a response was given. Pecking first years could be fun, after all, and Lorraine had not been pleased with the necessity of sending him, after all. Perhaps he would get an owl treat on his return. That was almost a more pleasant prospect than being able to peck the student in question.
