RALLYING THE PECARI HOUSE!! by Elly Eriksson

There were very few things at Sonora that disturbed Elly. One was loosing at Quidditch – that was a surefire way to make her feel like she’d let the team down, and that feeling was the worst. Another thing was House Pride. It really meant something to be in Pecari – it meant you didn’t have to rely on books to have fun; it meant you didn’t base your ideals on outdated Pureblood elitist traditions. It meant you be could friendly and outgoing, without having to make that distinction.

That is why what she had seen in the Cascade Hall disturbed her more than anything. They were losing. Losing! Crotalus only had 84 points, but Pecari had just over half that amount. It was pitiful; there really wasn’t an excuse for it. She thought it was just about okay being beaten by Aladren, because they were the smart house so of course they were going to get loads of house points for their exceptional work. But Crotalus? Or Teppenpaw? It was humiliating.

Elly couldn’t stand it, but it wasn’t as though one person could make a lot of difference. She needed whole-house co-operation here. So once she had calmed down enough to think coherently, Elly whipped a sheet of parchment and some black ink from her bag. Several minutes later, there was a sign on the notice board in the commons.

Hey, fellow Pecarians!
I've just had a look at the House Point totals and they SUCK!
Are we really going to let Teppenpaw beat us?
Guys... come on...
