Post Fury Fest [Echo & Matt's room] by Echo Elms

Echo packed up the button masher and the things that needed packing up after the Fury Fest and headed up to the common room and kept going until he reached his room. It was over. No more Fury until next February. There had been so many participants. People had really written. Novels had been finished. Differences were made in the world.

And now it was over. Thank all holy things.

Echo carefully dropped everything at the foot of his bed, kicked off his tevas before collapsing sideways onto his covers. Ugh. If he didn't write another word until next February, life would be good. If he didn't organize anything else in his life ever, that would be good too. Fury was too much effort. Next year, he vowed, next year he was so getting a committee to delegate stuff to so he could actually write his novel during Novelling Fury!. No, way? Write a novel during Fury? You don't say. He'd spent all his waking hours planning Fury related things, and then he stayed up writing until he passed out. All month. And he still hadn't finished his novel.

Over...

Echo pried himself off the bed and pulled his glasses off his face, getting them caught in his hair momentarily. He stuck them and the reading ones--stuck in his shirt--on the nightstand before laying back down on top of the covers. The pillow was soft and cool and it didn't matter that it was only his imagination that made it smell vaguely of his mom's house. Sleep was not more than five minutes in coming.\r\n\r\n
