Something Drastic by Tori Evans

"I'm bored" Tori yelled out loud in the girls dorm. Tori was bored with everything lately. She wanted to do something new, fun maybe even dangerous. "It's almost the end of the year and I have to do something new before I go home for the summer"
Tori was speaking to herself as no one else was in teh room. it was an annoying little habit that she had picked up as of late.

She sat on her bed fiddling with her dirty blond hair. 'It looks kinda mousy' She thought.

Then an idea popped into her head!

"Should I?" Tori said out loud again "No, no I can't it'd be weird...then again when have I ever not been rather weird?" Tori sat in comtemplative silence for a few moments. Then her eyes were drawn the a glamour charm book she'd just checked out of the library. She was never so into appearences but hey if she was going to wear make up she might as well save the time and effort and apply it with magic. 'It'd come out more even to' thought Tori.

She opened the book and began to thumb through the pages. She finially found the spell she was loking for. it was a hair dying charm. There were diferent variations ranging from subtle highlights to a full color change. She knew what she wanted but she wasn't sure if she had the guts to do it.

Tori wanted to dye her hair.

It may not sound like a big deal but Tori had never gotten color in her hair before. She was happy with how she looked naturally and had the same color her entire life. it was a security blanket or so to speak. "I can do this" she repeated a few times.

'OK now i just need to decide which color to use.' tori thought as she looked at all the choices. They had bright colors like electric blue but she wasn't sure she was ready for something quite that bold. She was rather drawn to a deep brown color. It look shiny and fetching in the picture. Tori thought it would look decent with her green eyes to.

"Ok why not?" said Tori. "I'll do it!"

She pointed her wand at her head and said the charm loudly. The first time nothing happened but on the second try she could feel her hair tingle. "Oh my god i hope i didn't hex my hair off" She said nervously as she dashed to a mirror.

Then a loud shriek could be heard all throughout the Pecari commons. "I LOVE IT!!!!!!!" Exclamed Tori excidedly.

The charm had worked better than she hoped. Her hair was not a bright curly brown. She shook it like she was in a muggle shampoo commercial. "I wonder if people will notice the difference.' Tori said "Although i don't get how they could miss the difference."

Ok so it wasn't the thrilling moment she hoped for but who cares. It was a start besides she could always have crazy adventures when the new term started and now she had all of the summer to get used to her new hair.

Tori bound down the stairs to the main commons to see if anyone was there. She just had to show off her new hair. 'Oh wow I am acting like such a GIRL' Was the last thought Tori had as she walked into the commons.\n\n
