Pecari Quidditch Team Tryouts by A Notice

In the Pecari common room, a piece of parchment was posted by the entrance for all to see. Neatly printed letters in a navy blue ink, a message was written at the top of the paper, with extra space at the bottom for responses. It read as follows:

Attention all Pecari students:
Tryouts for Quidditch House teams will be taking place shortly. All positions for chasers, beaters, seeker, and keeper are open, students of all ages and experience levels may apply. Brooms and other equipment will be supplied for you, although you may use your own broom if you have one. If you are interested please send in your name, year, and position that you would like to play. Good luck!

Sincerely,
Coach Cooper

Signing up for duty by Stephen

"Oh cool," Stephen exclaimed upon noticing the parchment. Well, to be perfectly honest, it wasn't upon noticing the parchment. His first reaction had been to spot it out of the corner of his eye, followed quickly by a 'huh' sound, trying to jump over the sofa that was separating him from it and misjudging the height enough to send him sprawling on the ground. Then he had picked himself up, gotten closer, read it and made the exclaimation.

But that was all incidental and of very little interest.

Going through his pockets and checking his ears - he had never before stored a pen, pencil or quill there, but you never know - he frowned. This was definitely something he wanted to do, and something that Fido'd be up for too. It would be stupid to miss out for as silly a reason as nothing to write with.

He glanced around the room, and spotted an abandoned bag over near a couple of armchairs. He dashed over, and - not bothered to wonder who it belonged to - opened it and scrounged around until he located something he could use. After a moment, he emerged with a triumphant "bingo!" and held the battered quill aloft. Making his way back to the notice before it decided to disappear (things like that happened sometimes in the magic world, he had noticed) Stephen rapidly scrawled:

Stephen Baxter and Fido - Second Year - Keeper

After a second's hesitation and a glance at the door to the commons, he continued writing.

Sorrel Craven - ditto - Beater
Ash Craven - him too - Beater

He bet Sorrel would be glad he had remembered to put hers and her brothers names down. She - well, Ash too really - would have been really annoyed if she had arrived and there was no notice. It seemed to be sticking around a little longer though, he figured after a minute later it remained stuck to the wall. Shrugging he walked back to the bag and dropped the quill in, just in time to hear someone approaching from behind.

Stephen turned and grinned. "Hey, there."\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Oh me too! by Elizabeth

Entering the common room with her school bag slung carelesly across her body, Elizabeth noticed that something had been posted in the central area of the Pecari notice board. Hm, she thought to herself, I wonder what that could be... Her thoughts were answered when she saw Stephen leap from one of the common room couches, and tumble on over to scribble something on the bottom of the parchment.

Elizabeth was intrigued. She brushed some of the ebony hair that had fallen from step with the rest of her half-ponytail away from her clear blue eyes. She had just been returning from taking a walk in the grounds. Her bag had just remained from lessons earlier in the morning, and since she figured she'd just drop it off by the time she got back, the bag stayed on her.

"Hey, there." she heard Stephen speak, turning to face her direction. She didn't know what to say. Elizabeth hadn't talked to Stephen in a long time, so she wasn't sure what was going on in his head concerning his opinion of her. Most muggleborns didn't like her at all since her little schism with Mia and everything. But she never really had any qualms with Stephen, so she implied immediate courtesy, as her family would have her express.

"Hey yourself." she smiled lightly, then jerked her head in the direction of the parchment posted, "What's that? Something important?"

Then... sign up... by Stephen

OOC: Hey Liz, reckon you can read my post a little better next time? You completely missed my klepto moment, and for that matter, the fact that according to the original post, the parchment isn't on the noticeboard, but next to the way out. BIC:

Stephen left the unclaimed bag without further thought to move towards Liz and grab her by the shoulder turning her around and sending her straight over to the parchment.

"Read for yourself," he said with a grin, and then because he couldn't be bothered waiting for her to do so answered her question regardless. "Quidditch, Liz - check it out! They're starting an inter-house competition and you've got to sign up 'cause you're a chaser, and we haven't got any of them yet. Here," he let go of her shoulder and flipped the opening of her bag open and started to go through it, "you've got a quill in here somewhere haven't you? You never know when these signs are going to just up and disappear - best to get all signed up quickfast."\n\n

Okay by Elizabeth

OOC: Agh sorry about that, I didn't read those posts thoroughly before I wrote that... I'll fix it in this... ignore my earlier stupidity...

BIC:

Elizabeth let out a tiny gasp of surprise when Stephen jumped up from the bag he was rifling through and pushed her towards the rather long piece of parchment that was posted by the door. Already written down were Ash and Sorrel Craven as beaters and Stephen as keeper. That seemed fine, they were pretty good as far as she had seen from class and that very short scrimage last term. Stephen, she thought, surprised them all with a pretty amazing save, so Elizabeth was glad that he had signed up.

"Okay, okay," she said with a slight laugh when he began looking through her bag for a quill, "I can get one, it's alright, you don't need to help me."

Two seconds later, she'd pulled out a quill filled with navy blue ink, and written neatly up on the piece of parchment:

Elizabeth Lavine, Second Year, Chaser

We need more people!! (Tag any Pecarians) by Stephen

OOC: It's alright Liz... just one more question? What's Liz's stance on Muggleborns now? You've got me a little confused with saying that being courteous to Stephen is what your family would want you to be. BIC:\r\n\r\n

Navy blue was popular, Stephen noted, nodding in satisfaction as Liz finished writing her details on the parchment. It still didn't seem to be ready to disappear back to wherever it had come from, so he examined it again.

"We still need two more chasers and a seeker," he said, more to himself than to Liz. "Only one thing for it," he collected the quill from the girl and moved to a position where he was blocking the entrance to the commons. A step back over tot he side, a hand on her shoulder and a firm move back and Liz was forced to stand besides him.

"You're helping," he told her gesturing first at the parchment and then at the door with the hand holding her quill. A drip of ink, unsettled by the movement went flying, and missed her by mere millimetres. Stephen continued, unconcerned. "Anyone who comes, they're going to sign up. We've got a quill, and there's the parchment. Nothing needed except for our first... ah, that was quick!"

Stephen let Liz go and leapt forward towards the latest person to enter the room. "Welcome, welcome!" he greeted them, shoving Liz's quill into their hand and directing them towards the parchment. "You're signing up for the quidditch team," he explained in case it wasn't entirely self evident. "Just put your name there," he pointed to the space under Liz's name, "and your year, and then the position you're going to try out for."\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Connor Pierce

June 04, 2005 10:06 AM

An errand interrupted... by Connor Pierce

Connor was quite proud of himself when he managed to find the common room after only getting lost twice. Admittedly, he hadn't so much "found it" as "stumbled across it", but that wasn't important. He'd gotten there. Maybe next week he'd finally figure out a way of remembering the way.

Then, of course, he had to wrack his brain to remember the password. What had happened to doors? If they only wanted Pecaris to get in, then make keys. That could present problems of its own, though...Everyone would lose them... Well, no system was perfect.

Once inside, he had a clearly outlined plan of action. Make his way to the dorm, sort out his collection of King Arthur books, select the ones Gwen would probably find most useful, and go to the library to find her. Simple, straightforward, nothing complicated. The pair of second years guarding the door seemed to have different ideas, though.

"Uh...I am?" Signing up for the Quidditch team was not something he had been thinking of doing. It might have had something to do with the fact he wasn't entirely sure what Quidditch was. That incognito guy who had broken it to the family that Connor was a wizard had explained something about Quidditch being a game played on brooms that everyone went wild over. It had sounded like it could be fun just because of the chance you could fall and break your neck.

It was obvious the enthusiastic second year wasn't going to let him out until he was signed up for the Quidditch team. "All right," he said, trying to get a grip on the quill. He hated these things. "I have no idea what I'm getting myself into, but all right." Strugging with the quill, he wrote down his name as legibly as he could and his year, then hesitated at the position part.He tried to work out what each would require. Keeper sounded like you would keep something. Seekers would seek something. Chasers would run around after something. Beaters would beat someone up.

This was all according to his own internal system of logic, which didn't always line up with everyone else's. Still, he thought he could chase something around without too much trouble, and there wasn't much of a way to over-complicate the word 'Chaser'. Deciding that the best course of action would be to jump and hope there was a haybale at the bottom, he managed to scribble the word 'Chaser'.

Now, of course he had to deal with his-er-potential teammates. "Been nice meeting you guys," he said cautiously, trying to navigate an escape route without seeming rude. "I'll just-go get my books and let you get on with recruiting." The year might not be completely boring after all. He wondered if maybe this could be applied to the Camelot Game-something along the lines of it was a tournament. He'd ask Gwen what she thought. Once he escaped the second years and found his books...and found the library. \n\n

an errand? hm. by Elizabeth

(ooc: ah yes, Elizabeth's position... she's still got about... well, nothing figured out, but for the most part, she's trying to take a "middle way" on the blood battle. For example, with Stephen she figures that she's going to have to be at least a bit nice to him since he's on their quidditch team, which matters most to Liz. As for everyone else, it's anyone's guess. But to be on the safe side, assume that she'll be the not-so-nice pureblood her family wants her to be. I hope that kinda made sense... :D)

BIC:

A puzzled look surfaced on Elizabeth's features as Stephen positioned her around the doorway. Anyone who would happen to walk in next would be forced to run straight into the both of them, and no doubt be pressured into signing up on the parchment. Great, she thought to herself as he nabbed her quill, that was my favorite one... It came as a surprise to Lizzie that only moments after Stephen set up the small blockade, a first year Pecari walked in, and signed up.

He didn't seem to know what he was doing though, and that slightly troubled Elizabeth. If the boy didn't know what quidditch was, then how did he expect to figure it out before the tryouts were held? She sighed, and figured that somehow, somewhere, he'd figure it all out. She looked over the boy's shoulder as he was writing with her quill.

"Connor Pierce, First Year, Chaser"

So he wanted to be a chaser? That was well enough considering they already had the beaters and keeper, and to learn how to be a really good seeker you had to train for a while. A long while. Chaser, in comparison, didn't take long to learn how to do, and even though Connor was apparently muggleborn, he could have some natural talent they didnt' know about. He turned around and looked like he was trying to find a way out of their blockade.

Instinctively, Elizabeth moved out of his way. Something came from having years and years of etiquette lessons. It seemed that excusing herself and moving out of someone else's way was one of those little things that got ingrained. A second thought came, and that was concerning her quill. It was a nice quill, pretty expensive, too. She wasn't going to let a first year just walk away with it.

"Hey kid," she said, then remembering his name, she addressed him again, "Hey Connor, thanks for signing up and everything, but that's my quill you've got there." \n\n

"Yoink," Stephen snatched the quill back from - he glanced at what the boy had written on the parchment - Connor and flashed a reassuring grin at Liz. "It's alright, Liz, I won't let anyone nick your quill. Scouts honour."

It was a moment before he noticed that Connor apparently was looking at making a getaway, but when he did Stephen shrugged and let the boy go. "Don't forget the tryouts," he called after him, "and thanks for signing up. Quidditch is fun, you'll see."

"So... Liz..." she had moved. Stephen shook his head in mock annoyance and reached out to pull her back into position. "We don't know how long we have," he said jerking a thumb in the direction of the parchment. "Gotta get a full team together as soon as we can. You reckon Princess can play?" he asked conversationally while staring at the closed passage out of the commons. "I might send you to look up in your room in a bit if no one else comes," his hand went back out automatically to be sure she didn't run off just yet. "Oh come on! This is taking forever... NEXT!!!"

The word echoed up the passage and - muffled somewhat - out past the armour that guarded the entrance.

OOC2: Whoever is fortunate enough to come along next, just figure that it'll go along the same as it did with Connor if its a case of your name isn't yet on the list. Quill shoved into your hand, and being 'directed' straight over to the parchment to sign up, like it or not.\n\n

Adam Whitney

That'd be me! by Adam Whitney

Adam walked through the corridors as though he were on a mission. A mission only he was on the ups with. Of course, he really didn't have a mission or anything of the sorts, but Adam continued to walk as though he did. He ignored those who passed him, ignored the portraits and the paintings, ignored the nice breeze and the bright sun, he ignored everything.

Or at least tried to. The moment he stepped through the door and into the common room, his slightly larger than necessary ears, were assaulted when a loud voice called out NEXT. Adam, being Adam, turned to the source of the voice to see a girl and a boy, probably older as the boy didn't share the same dorm as him, and gave each of them a large grin. He stepped around both of them to read what the parchment was all about. Pulling a quill from his back pocket (why he kept them there was a mystery to even Adam) and scribbled his name down.

Adam Whitney, 1st year, Seeker

He stood up straight once more, pocketed his quill, nodded to the boy and girl, "Keep up the good work." Giving them a salute, Adam turned around to head up to his dorm.\n\n

Me Next! by Mckenna Fallen

Mckenna entered the common room in a daze. It had taken her an hour to find the common room, but she was proud of finding her way none the less. Mckenna turned as she heard a (what she thought was a second year) boys voice call out next and saw a younger boy begin scribbling down on notice. Her curiosity peaked Mckenna walked forward and peered over his shoulder.

Adam Whitney, 1st year, Seeker
took the quill from the boy in front of her and scrawled her name on the parchment.

Mckenna Fallen, 1st year, Chaser

Pleased with herself, Mckenna smiled “Well, Seeya!” She said to the boy and girl by the notice and gave the girl back her quill before she left for the dorms.\n\n

Yes! by Elizabeth

After waving off the last two first years that had signed up, Elizabeth took a look at the now filled up piece of parchment. They had everything they needed to play a game, but there was still enough room on the sheet for anyone else who wanted to tryout. A quick examination of the names listed rendered something in the back of Lizzie's mind. The name Whitney. Hadn't been just last term when Jake had told her about Adam Whitney, and that insane six hour game?

A bright grin surfaced on her face as she began to stash away her quill. If this Whitney kid was as good as Jake Santoro was sure that he was, the Pecari House team would be awesome. Now, it was all up to the tryouts, but assuming that no one else from their house signed up, they wouldn't really even need them. They'd just need a whole load of practice times to train the ones that didn't know how to play yet, or hadn't in a while.

"So," she tentatively said to Stephen, "I guess we've got our team all signed up. Anyone else that you know of that would sign up?"\n\n

Stephen moved slightly to the side as first one, then another new student came forth to sign up for the quidditch team. It had all worked out very nicely, and, as he followed Liz over to the parchement and looked over her shoulder at the list he grinned as he realised that they actually had all positions they needed filled. He was looking at the parchment expectantly when Liz apparently addressed him.

"Er..." he stalled, still looking at the parchment. "Um...." It was still there. A finger scratched his nose as he continued to observe it. "I kinda thought that the parchment would just disappear back to where it came from when the time was up or we had enough names," he admitted, not really embarrassed; just puzzled. "Maybe it wants more names so we can have tryouts or something. Everyone likes Quidditch, don't they? I mean, you get to fly, and there's balls flying everywhere, and you can go heaps high and everything - what's not to like? And...." he looked at the list again. "Princess. Tori. I don't think I've met all the first years yet, but we've still got those girls from our year who could sign up. Princess played in the game last year."

He looked away from the list finally, and directed a questioning glance Liz's way.

"You reckon they might be in your dorm?" he asked, already moving towards the stairs. "Oi, Princess!" He shouted as he drew closer to the top. Whether it was intentional or not, he didn't stop but continued on towards the opening of the corridor. "Princess, you in there? Come on ou-"

"Oomph!"

Stephen thudded to the floor in the centre of the commons, scrambled back to his feet and headed back to the stairs.

"Come on out, Princess," he called.\n\n

Mia

July 01, 2005 3:36 PM

I suppose I'm others by Mia

OOC: Mia actually wasn't in the game last year. She let someone play in her place because there were too many people. Just so you know. ^_^

BIC: Mia walked out of the school and towards the Pecari common room. She had just been by the library looking for another book with spells when a different book caught her eye. It was a book about quidditch. Mia skimmed a few pages on her way out. She hadn't played in an actual game, but it did look like fun... well if you took out the balls that attack people. Those didn't look so fun.

Mia didn't know how good she was though and at what position. That was something she wanted to experiment with at some point. She thought the book said that a small build was good for seekers and that was a good description of Mia. She continued to ponder this on her walk back.

The book wasn't so large and fit easily into her bag. That's where Mia tucked it as she spoke the password to the suit of armor and was given access to her common room. Mia planned to look over the book a little more, but was taken aback by shouting and it happened to be for her. Not with a name she’d prefer, but she didn’t think any of the people who called her that would let up.

In the common room were Elizabeth and Stephen. Stephen was headed for the staircase and Mia was surprised that he didn't stop before going into the girls' corridor. He landed right back onto the floor of the common room again and Mia flinched back a little at the thud. Mia rolled her eyes and gave an amused smile as she folded her arms and waited for Stephen to notice she wasn't up there.

"Come on out, Princess," Okay, maybe he wouldn't notice she wasn't up there. But who could possibly miss all that shouting?

"Oi Stephen!" Mia mimicked "Are you looking for someone?" Mia kept the amused look on her face as she leaned back against the wall, waiting to hear what he wanted from her and to know what Elizabeth might have to do with it.\n\n

I guess so by Elizabeth

Liz leaned against the nearest wall after shrugging nonchalantly at his earlier question. But Elizabeth had to laugh when Stephen launched himself at the girl's corridor, and then ended up flat on his back on the floor. It really hadn't been that long since the two of them had first met, and discovered "The Corridor Ride". She sighed slightly. The beginning of first year, how much happened since those days... What if... what if I just forget all the rules? What if I just tell Rose to shut it, and leave me alone? Oh, who are you kidding, she'd find out and ship you off to Baton Rouge Institute, and who needs that? she thought a bit hopelessly to herself. The thought didn't last long as the common room door opened, and permitted the entry of Mia Kerova.

"Oi Stephen!" Mia mimicked "Are you looking for someone?"

Lizzie stood up fully, keeping her independence from the wall she was just leaning on. She hadn't encountered Mia since the first day, when they'd had that very strange conversation. No matter, she was part of their house, and deserved the right to sign up for their house team. That meant that politeness needed to step in momentarily, and cover for the indifference that wanted so badly to ignore her.

"Stephen here wants to know if you want to sign up for quidditch tryouts." she guestured towards the piece of parchment that was still affixed to the wall by the door. "There still some space on the parchment if you want to sign up."

She moved away from the door and, still employing the same casual politeness but a much less forced amount, she grabbed Stephen by the arm, pulling him to his feet so that he was standing next to her. The guesture was just helping him out, that was all. It wasn't like she was committing a crime or anything. At least, as far as she was concerned. Her aunt would have probably found the action to be outrageous. But it wasn't that her aunt herself really cared, it was just that her fear of reputation tainting was so great that she made sure she had no contacts who weren't pureblood. What madness it all was.

"So," she said, trying to use that politeness again, "Are you going to?"

ooc: If you can't tell, in this post, Liz is trying to sort of test her boundaries. I'm sorry she is such a mess, but that's really how she is: sending mixed messages and all that. I'm going to be going out of town later today, so if I don't post, know that's what's going on! :D

Hmm...or maybe not by Mia

Mia turned to Elizabeth when she answered rather than Stephen whom Mia figured would answer. She guessed she just beat him to the punch though Mia had no idea why Elizabeth was talking to her at all. Last she checked, they really weren't on great speaking terms, as much as Mia hated that. She was strongly opposed to being in fights with people, though some people made it easier than others, but being on bad terms with someone who started out as a friend wasn’t fun for Mia. She pushed the thought aside and went to where Elizabeth was pointing to the quidditch sign up sheet.

Elizabeth asked the same question Mia asked herself in her head. Was she going to sign up? She wasn't sure if she wanted to. She was pretty novice at the sport. Yes, she had some practice, but she had seen the others playing last year and they were good. Now what was she supposed to do? She couldn't stand there for hours trying to make a decision.

"Hmm..." Mia hummed in thought as she looked at the list of students who already filled the positions.

Some were filled by first years whom she had never seen play but probably knew a great deal more than she did about the sport. That's not why Mia was leaning towards not signing up though. Sports had never been her thing even though there were a few sports she was pretty good at and as much fun as flying was, she could leave that to free time instead of a competition where other people depended on her to be good. She’d practice on her own and maybe if the team ever needed a substitute or something then she'd play.

"Nah, I'll pass." Mia decided "It looks like Pecari has a full team here anyway. You won't even need try outs." Mia readjusted her bag over her shoulder and turned to face Stephen as well.

“Are you guys going to stay here and wait for more people to sign?” Mia asked generally to both Stephen and Elizabeth. \n\n

Stephen turned at the 'Oi Stephen! Are you looking for someone?' and grinned as he spotted Mia leaning against the far wall. Opening his mouth to respond Liz beat him to it, and grabbed his arm, pulling him over for some reason. He got the vague idea that there was something going on here that he wasn't aware of, so for once in his life exercised some discretion and kept his mouth shut for a moment in an attempt to find out what it was. When Mia declined his face fell.

"Princess," he said, voice expressing his disappointment. "You gotta sign up. Come on," he cajouled her, "you know you want to. It'll be fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun..." he broke off, unsure that his words were getting through, then in a sudden moment of decision looked around for and then snatched up Liz's quill again. He grinned mischieviously at Mia and trotted over to the parchment.

OOC: Yup, I saw your message in the Hall and I'll tell Tori to get over here. I think I told her already, but she can be a bit spacey sometimes. Don't worry. I'll remind her. By the way, cajouled, awesome word!

BIC: Mia lightly bit her bottom lip to stifle a laugh when Stephen began his persuasion of It'll be fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun..." Mia’s eyes went heavenward and she started off to the stairs, a small smile playing on her face. She stopped at the bottom of the steps when Stephen asked her what position she was going to play last year. Mia looked over and saw he had a quill in hand and was right by the parchment. She realized he was going to sign her up anyway.

Mia shook her head good naturedly and quickly put her bag down on one of the arm chairs. It was beginning to hurt as it dug into her shoulder a bit. She went back over towards Stephen and the parchment. He was going to sign her up for something whether she wanted to play or not. She could just let him and then not show up to tryouts or tell the Coach that she didn’t actually sign, but she changed her mind. What was the harm in trying out? It seemed like a perfect opportunity to experiment at one of the positions. And she did think the game looked fun. To top it off, Stephen just had this good attitude that was oddly contagious.

‘Why can’t it spread to the Cravens?’ Mia thought to herself and mentally rolled her eyes.

“I suppose this is a losing battle.” Mia said mostly to herself, laughing a little, and took the quill from Stephen’s hand. She’d rather sign her name herself. She had taken a liking to writing with quills. “Alright, I’ll sign up, but you two probably know more than I do about the game. What position do you think I could play? I kind of didn’t have much choice in the matter last time.” Mia added the last sentence a bit absent mindedly and shrugged.

Mia held the quill up towards the parchment, but waited for more experienced judgment before writing anything down.\n\n

Decisions, decisions... by Elizabeth

Elizabeth had been standing in silence as Stephen had proceeded to begin signing Mia up for the team. They had enough people already: Ash and Sorrel, the two beaters; McKenna, Connor, and herself, the chasing team; Stephen, the keeper; and finally Adam, as the seeker. But, everyone should get their own turn at it, and so in keeping with that sort of mentality, Elizabeth inwardly sighed and walked over to where Mia stood, her quill poised to continue writing.

"It depends on what you're good at," she said rather bluntly, still with an air of 'I'm only doing this because it's the right thing to do', "Picking a position, I mean. Also, I think that beaters is sort of off limits since the Cravens are trying to get dual captainship, and they both play that position. Chasers should have good hand-eye coordination and good aim, Keepers need fast reflexes, and Seekers have to be fast and have eyes like a hawk to see that snitch." \n\n

Decisions made easy by Mia

Mia dropped her arm, but kept her eyes trained on the parchment on the wall rather than towards Elizabeth. She didn't like how Elizabeth seemed to talk as if she had to be there or something. Mia only asked because she was new to the game and wanted some advice. Not even specifically from Elizabeth. She listened anyway as Elizabeth explained about the positions. Mia was shocked that they even got that far in a conversation at all. After listening and deciding, Mia brought her arm back to the parchment until something only just clicked in her mind about what Elizabeth said.

"The Cravens are the captains?!" she exclaimed, finally turning to Elizabeth, hoping she heard wrong, but knowing she didn’t.

Now it didn't matter what Mia signed up for. She probably wouldn't get it. One couldn't say she and those twins were on the best of terms. She was really having second thoughts again about signing at all. Then she remembered, with a mental laugh, that Stephen would sign her up anyway. Mia looked back with an inaudible sigh and quickly jotted down chaser beside where Stephen wrote the first part of her sign up.

"Here," she said, handing the quill to Stephen with a casual smile "I don't know whose it is. See you later." Mia gave a little wave and went back for her bag before hurrying up to the second year girls' dorm. She planned to read a little bit about what she had just signed herself up for.

OOC: I don't know who else you guys are waiting for, but I don't think Tori is going to show up. I can remind her again if you'd like.\n\n

Tori started down the stairs to the common room. She passed Mia on the way down and waved hello to her. Jumping down from the 3rd to last stair Tori went over to where Stephen and Elizabeth were. She noticed they were looking at a notice.
She stepped right up to the paper to get a closer look.

"Hey quidditch!" Tori exclaimed. "Well I just gotta sign up for tryouts."

Tori was rather althletic when she wasn't tripping over her own feet. She could run pretty fast and was on track team before she came to Sonora. 'Although quidditch doesn't really involve running' Tori thought to herself.

"Now what do I sign up for?" Tori wondered out loud.
"Hey guys?" Tori said turning to Stephen and Elizabeth "Do you think it would be okay if i signed up for more than one position? I can't decide which posityion i want to play."\n\n
