Elizabeth entered the Pecari commons, the shouts of Sorrel, Ash, and Stephen meeting her ears. A sly and knowing grin spread across her face, smiling as the usual loud banter that came along with the territory. Feeling that finally, she was ready to be back at Sonora, Elizabeth bounded up the steps to the second years girl's dormitory. Taking a deep breath, she noticed the belongings of the other girls, knowing she'd have to share the room with the girls she'd upset last term.
Well, you've got to face them sometime... you're going to be with them in their year until you're 18... she thought to herself, flinging onto the bed. She didn't care that her things weren't unpacked, and frankly, she'd do it later. Right now, she was just soaking up the moment of being back at Sonora, on her nice, warm bed. Of course, not as nice and warm as her bed at home was, but it was semi-comforting to know that the same feeling she had at home was here, a long way away.

OOC: Question. Since you're reffering to the twins and Stephen, does that mean this is before the feast too? I think their posts are before the feast.
BIC: Mia was so glad to be back at Sonora though not as glad to be back in Pecari Common Room. As much as she liked her house she couldn't say she was the best of friends with some of the girls she shared a dorm with. She wasn't exactly on speaking terms with Elizabeth since the whole blood fight in the dorm room the previous year and she didn't want to talk to Sorrel since she was just a royal pain.
When Mia got to the common room she was imediately greeted by the sounds of Stephen and the Craven Twits from somewhere upstairs. Mia got up the stairs and saw Sorrel getting up off of Stephen. She shook her head and decided that she really didn't want to know what had just happened. Those kind of things were best left alone if you weren't involved.
Mia entered the second year girls' dorm to find Elizabeth already there. She stiffened a bit but walked over to the bed where her things had been placed. Silk, Mia's cat, scampered in after her and jumped up onto Mia's bed. It was a few beds away from Elizabeth. Silk was as excited to be back as Mia and was jumping around like crazy, on the bed then off the bed then back on again. That caused Mia to smile for a moment but it faded quickly.
Mia wasn't quite sure of what to do but she knew one thing for sure. She hated being in fights with people and holding grudges. She wasn't quite sure how to be in a fight if that made any sense to someone other than herself. She had always been the peace maker of her group of friends at home. It was rare that Mia actually got in a fight herself but here she was in two of them, sort of.
She hated not talking to Elizabeth because of something as stupid sounding as blood purity, something she barely understood herself. Elizabeth seemed really cool at the start of last year. She didn't even like being in a whole grudge match with Sorrel that all started because Sorrel was throwing an attitude one day at the Quidditch Pitch. Mia wasn't sure what to make of her beef with Sorrel but wasn't thinking about that now. She more had Elizabeth on the brain.
There was a bit of an awkward silence that Mia couldn't stand either so she decided to speak up. It might've sounded a little odd to Elizabeth that Mia would suddenly talk but the quiteness was suffocating her. Besides, she really didn't want to fight anymore though she didn't know if Elizabeth didn't either. She might have really become a snotty pureblood jerk but from what Mia knew of Elizabeth before that stupid letter, she somehow doubted it.
"Here goes nothing..." Mia thought with a sigh and readjusted her glasses.
"Hey." Mia started out simply keeping her eyes trained on her trunk while slowly unpacking "Have a good summer?"\n\n
But wait. I wasn't looking from the common room. I was already up the stairs and on my way to the girls dorm. You still can't see from already being up the stairs? I'm trying to make a picture of this in my head.\n\n
OOC- oh sry about that, timewise, I wasn't really thinking about it. I guess it should be after the feast, even though theirs was before... So you can ignore them being there altogether... And if it wasn't them, it'd probably be just some other rambuncious Pecari making noise... :)
BIC: So far off in her own thoughts, Elizabeth was taken aback when the dormitory door opened, and admitted Mia. When she first heard the noise, she sat up, looking around, like someone had shot off a firework. It seemed rather stupid of her to look around like that, but it was just that she wasn't expecting anyone to be coming in, not for a while at least. Upon seeing what had caused the sound that had brought her back to reality, she immediately dropped her gaze. Mia Kerova was over by her bed, unpacking.
It wasn't shyness or bashfulness that made her look down, it was that even though she had started thinking about it, Elizabeth was definately not ready to actually face her dormroom mates. She got off of her bed, pulling out her wand in a nonchalant manner to open up her suitcase. It had been locked by her aunt's personal assistant of course, with a identity sensitive spell, enabling only Elizabeth and her Aunt Rose to have the ability to open it.
"Have a good summer?" she heard Mia ask.
By this, Elizabeth was also surprised. She didn't expect Mia to talk to her even if forced, much less strike up a conversation with her. For a moment, she almost let her tounge slip and cordially reply: It was a blast! I had a wonderful time! How was yours?" At the thought of what her aunt would have done to her if word traveled back home that she'd said something like that to someone like Mia, Elizabeth mentally shook. It wasn't a good plan to upset her Aunt Rose, especially since she was extremely into anti-muggles and muggleborns. With almost all of her things unpacked, she sighed, finally turning back around to Mia.
"My summer was fine, thanks." Elizabeth said, a little coldly, but she had to... it was all part of the pureblood insanity that she had learned to accept as life. It was how she'd lived it for her whole existance, so Elizabeth just decided over the summer to keep on going how she'd been going for twelve years- a wealthy, 'only daughter', pureblood princess... \n\n
Ick. Sorry. I only caught the first two words.

OOC: Alright. After works too. I was just making sure. Carrying on.
BIC: Mia listened out for Elizabeth's answer. Her eyes drifted from her trunk to her overactive cat. Silk was just having the time of her life. It was like someone had dumped a truck load of cat nip on her head. But in all of her antics, she hadn't strayed towards Elizabeth at all. Mia found that slightly odd since Silk loved to run around Mia's dorm mates. This was pushed from her mind when Elizabeth answered her question.
"My summer was fine, thanks." she had answered coldly.
Alright, so it was confirmed. Mia was wrong and Elizabeth had decided to be stuck up. If that's how she wanted to be than what was Mia to do? She didn't want to give up so easily but she didn't let people just throw attitudes her way. Mia was disappointed but she wasn't going to mope for the rest of her time at school.
She decided to play with Elizabeth for a little. She wouldn't show the obvious hostility between the girls. Mia spun around and looked at Elizabeth but she didn't glare at her or anything like that. Instead, she gave her a sarcastic smile. Elizabeth didn't have to think she was really happy. Mia just wanted to throw her off a little. Maybe confuse her.
"Your welcome." Mia said friendly and cheerfully as if nothing was wrong "My summer was fine as well."
Mia turned back to her things on her bed and rolled her eyes with a smile. She continued unpacking, waiting for how Elizabeth would react. She could be as cold as she wanted but Mia wouldn't let up her little act. She was having fun.\n\n
0MiaIck. Sorry. I only caught the first two words.0Mia05
At Mia's oddly cheery speech, Elizabeth rolled her eyes. She thought Mia was a nice girl and all, it was just that her family and her dedication to them were really what was preventing her from being nice to her. At a point, Elizabeth actually thought that Mia was semi-sane, but with her completely ignoring the painfully obvious added chill in Elizabeth's words, she thought maybe she was wrong. Anyone with any kind of understanding of conversation could have picked up the underlying meaning in her curt response.
"Right. Lovely for you." she said as she grabbed her broom case, lay it on her bed, and took out her broom. She was keeping her cool manner level, a certain ice coating her speech again. "If you don't mind, I'm going out."
If Mia wanted to pick a fight or whatever she was trying to get at, that was her business. Honestly, Elizabeth had had enough of fighting people over stupid things, and going out and playing quidditch seemed like a lovely idea at the time. She wasn't going to instigate another idiodic battle like they'd had the last term.
You could say that with the summer passing, Elizabeth had gained a passive agressive quality that her brothers liked to call 'passive-yet-still-infuriating'. Whatever they called it, it worked for Elizabeth- she could make people mad, but at the same time, she wasn't really doing anything at all. It was a brilliant technique to some, but to others it was as awful as it could get. \n\n

Mia was just about finished packing. Her clothes were mostly away but the bag that had her hair items popped, leaving them scattered about the bottom of her trunk. Mia's hair was already up in a red pony tail but she was looking for a second one to make a braid. She looked around for a second red pony tail holder but was having quite the time finding it among everything else that came out of the bag.
As she searched, Mia got another cold response from Elizabeth but it was more expected this time. It still bit at her a little but not nearly as much. When Elizabeth responded, Mia hopped up to sit on her bed next to her trunk. She didn't look up at Elizabeth but still answered in a civil, friendly tone.
"I don't mind. It's not completely my room to keep you here." Mia answered, her hand finally coming across the pony tail holder she was looking for. "Here it is." she added but to herself.
She took it out and slipped it onto her wrist. She began to part her hair into three sections to make a braid. Her hair had gotten longer over the summer and was now close to her elbows. While she worked on her hair, she looked back up at Elizabeth.
"Have fun." she finished plainly and looked down at her lap to do her hair easier.
She kept her ears open in case Elizabeth had something else to add. Mia would continue the conversation if Elizabeth did. There was still some small part of her that wished Elizabeth would say something, anything kind to her if they continued though with the tone Elizabeth used when she spoke to Mia, Mia doubted that she wanted to say another word at all.\n\n
0MiaHm...no, I don't understand/speak French.0Mia05
Sorrel's in the guys' dorm (no jokes/comments, one of them is her BROTHER, for crying out loud).
Sorrel: And kissing and stuff is gross.
Author: You say that now... Anyway my point is, before Sorrel beats me up, that she's in the guys' room, which has a seperate corridor leading to it, cos there's the whole 'boys get chucked back if they go up the girls' corridor and vice versa' thing. Ergo, they have to be different corridors....\n\n

Elizabeth shook her head again at the completely nutty reactions she was getting from Mia. She'd been anything but nice and casual in her words and actions, and Mia had totally blown it off and acted like they weren't at odds. It was a very strange thing for Elizabeth, who'd been expecting some sort of showdown or the like upon meeting up again with her.
Oh well, she thought to herself and she flicked her wand towards her hair, binding it, I guess I'm not the only one who's changed over the summer.
"Whatever," Elizabeth finally said on her way out of the room, leaving Mia alone. As she closed the door and walked down the corridor leading to the common room, Elizabeth thought about all the stuff that had happened. It really was an eventful year they'd had, all of them. She crossed the main room and exited the other side out into the vast sun of the outer world, her broom securely held in one hand. \n\n
