Insomnia by Tori Evans
"Ugh" Tori said in the middle of the night. Try as she might she just wasn't tired and couldn't get to sleep. Tori was always a night owl and often had trouble going to sleep when the rest of her housemates did. 'Maybe theres someone to talk to in the common room.' Thought Tori as she climed out of bed. Dressed in her flannel pagjama pants and a black cami Tori made her way down the stairs into the common room. She sat on a chair and stared into the fire. 'I'm bored. I wanna go take a walk or something. Why does this whole freakin castle go to sleep so early????' Tori thought as she fidgeted in her chair for the umptienth time.\n\n

Lissy wandered the halls aimlessly through the night. As a ghost, she did not need sleep, and often found the nights to be long and boring. No one was out, save a few rule breaking students, and they didn't want to be bothered with her.Walking through the wall, she found herself in the Pecari Common Room. She sat in front of the fire, staring off into space, until she heard a student also sitting and watching the fire, mutter something about how the whole castle was asleep. That really annoyed Lissy, who couldn't sleep and was very bored while everyone slept.
The short ghost stood up and walked over to the girl in her ever cheerful high pitched voice, "not everything in this castle goes to sleep early. Some things don't go to school at all."\n\n

Tori heard someone talk to her. She turned and saw a ghost. "Wow a ghost! I'm sorry, I didn't know that ghosts didn't sleep." Tori didn't really know much about ghosts. She had seen them around the castle but none ever came up and talked to her. " What do you do all night when everyone sleeps? i usually just come down here. I don't sleep much. I never have. i tried taking pills but they didn't work either so I just watch the fire." Tori blushed slightly she always tended to ramble on and on. ' So like I said what do you do all night?"\n\n

I riddle by Lissy
Lissy was very annoyed at the girl's suprise to find that Lissy was in fact a ghost. What would she say next 'I see dead people?'. But she was still cheerful, besides the fact that she was always cheerful, she had learned something about the person. She loved learning new things about the castle and people in it. She used the information in her guessing games. Speaking of which, this girl had just found herself as the next guesser as Lissy thought of a new riddle."The living sleep throughout the night and sometimes I come to give a fright. If you are no friend of mine, watch out for me when the clock passes nine. Sometimes I linger, or I explore, the house elves are always a bore.Finding adventure is what I do, and making up riddles, like this one, too. In this castle no secret is safe from me, but I tell only in riddle," she said cheerfully, and stopped to push her two braids away from her face, "for it gives me glee."\n\n

Gee that's a good one by Tori Evans
Tori loved riddles! She annoyed her friends for hourse back home trying to make them guess all of the little riddles she made up. "Hmmm that's a good one." Tori said while trying to think of a good answer. "Well it sounds like a ghost playing tricks on people at night. Well only playing tricks on the people that the ghost doesn't get along with. I think the answer is you. Is this a riddle about yourself?" Tori hoped she was right. It would be great to solve a riddle and if Lissy liked playing pranks on people then Tori was sure they'd be fast friends. Tori loved to play jokes on people. She was always getting into trouble for something or other. Usually it was because she couldn't sleep and liked to have fun. If Tori ever came back as a ghost she'd have a blast.\n\n

The little ghost grinned, and her two long braids bounced up and down. The living firstie girl was correct. Finally, someone who also enjoyed riddles, perhaps there was some hope for the future. Not bad for a firstie, not bad at all."You're right!" she said, "no one here likes to play riddles anymore, and it's becoming rather boring. Did you know that everyone in your year are perfect little students who never go out late at night so that I can't bother them?" the twelve-year-old ghost (or, counting the years dead, 112 years old) rambled on. She put her hand over her mouth. 'Careful not to say too much, Lissy' she noted mentally, 'else you'll lose things to riddle about.'
"So, miss living firstie girl, what is your name anyway?" asked Lissy interestedly. If she was going to have a new companion, she best know their name.\n\n

Who's that! by Jen
Jen was awoken by the shouting of elizabeth. Jen didn't mean to be nosy but she couldn't help hearing their conversation. Jen's heart stopped when she heard Elizabeth utter "My family wants me to follow them in their ideals, which means my life will consist of being friends with and then eventually marrying other rich purebloods.Unfortunately for me and you, that means, I can't be friends with... well, people who dont' meet those standards."
A chill creeped down Jen's spine. She had always known a very caring, nice Elizabeth who didn't judge people, but now she heard her telling Mia she would only be friends with pure-bloods! Jen was muggle born! How dare she insult my kind! Even though Jen wasn't great friends with Elizabeth she was still hurt. She then got up and started running over to were she heard the arguing, ready to give Elizabeth a piece of her mind, but when she got there Elizabeth was gone and Mia was sitting there with another girl named Sorrel. Jen knew that Mia would probably want to have some time alone, so she decided to leave the room and talk to Mia about this in the morning.
It was getting pretty chilly so Jen decided to go by the Pecari Room fire anyway. And it was there she saw Tori talking to what looked like...air? Rubbing her eyes, Jen approached Tori and it was then that she saw a faded image infront of her...a ghost??? \n\n

Lissy noticed another girl come down into the common room, she looked like a firstie two. The girl was looking at her kind of funny, maybe she hadn't seen a ghost before? She looked kind of sleepy and tired. Maybe Lissy could have a little fun with this after all.Grinning mischieviously, as she always did when she was up to something, she made herself invisible. Well, not completely invisible really. It was just to all those who walked the earth and breathed air, which were the living. But that was all that Lissy needed for now anyways, so it didn't matter. Lissy was just about the only ghost in the school who chose to talk with the living, so the others would not bother her.
Walking towards the girl she reappeared- right in front of her face, looked up at her and said quite simply and calmly, "Boo."\n\n

Great Prank Lissy by Tori Evans
Tori was thinking up a riddle to say back to Lissy when Jen came into the room. Lissy had just gone up right in front of Jen and said Boo. It was insanely funny. It may not seem so amusing, but everything seemed hilarious when you only get 4 hours of sleep a night."Wow that was funny Lissy!" Exclaimed Tori. She felt bad for Jen but Tori always appreciated a good joke even when done unto herself. "Well Jen you gotta admit the ghost has style." Now it was official Lissy was THE coolest ghost in Sonora.\n\n

"It is a ghost!" said Jen approaching Tori and the faded image. The image then dissapeared before her eyes. Jen then heard a simple "Boo." come from behind her. "Ah!!" screamed Jen, she grabbed for a pile of pillows resting on the common room couch and began to swing them around. \n\n

Heck, Lissy thought she was a crazy little lunatic, and wondered why she was sent here and not to a mental institution.Gliding over to Tori, Lissy asked, "Are all the other little firsties like that, not including yourself, or is it just her?"\n\n

When Tori stopped laughing she relized that Lissy asked her a question. "Well I'm not sure. I'd be pretty freaked also if you just appeared in front of me and said boo" Tori said. Then an idea popped into her weird little head. "Acually I'm curios. How many students would be scared if they just saw a ghost? It'd acually be pretty funny. Hey do you wanna find out? It'd all be for the sake of science of course" Tori said mischieviely. 'Finally we can start to have a little fun around here.' Tori thought. She was curius to find out if most kids would react like Jen. "Hey Jen wanna help out also?" Tori asked not wanting to leave her friend out of anything.\n\n

'Wow' Tori thought 'Sonora is really looking up.' Tori had been waiting for the chance to pull a really good joke and now may be the time. Then she noticed that Jen circled Elizabeth's name. "Hey Jen why did you circle her name?" Tori had heard that several people had been mad at Elizabeth but she wasn't sure why. "I heard she got in a lotta fights with muggle borns. Lissy do you nkow whats happening I'm sure you know stuff that goes around school." Tori was always to busy daydreaming to pay much attention to anything that happened. She relied on Jen and Mia to keep her posted so she wasn't a complete soial outcast.\n\n

Elizabeth decided she will only hang out with pure bloods and isn't friends with any mud bloods, including Mia, who once was a really good friend of her. I over heard her telling Mia this, it also had something to do with her family I think." said Jen, as she placed the student list into her pocket. "Anyway, now she's acting all snobby and I feel like it would be pretty funny to start by playing a practical joke on her."\n\n

Tori sat in the armchair deep in thought. "That makes a lot of sense. If everyone would just try to get over themselves then we could all get along a little better." Tori sat for a few minutes in comtemplative silence.Suddenly she sprang up and said "Hey enough talking lets get down to planning." Tori never liked to sit still for so long and anytime she acted introspective was a rare sight to behold.
