Making inquiries (Tag Professor Xavier)
by Dorian Montoir
Dorian had questions. Many, many questions. He was relying largely on the library to answer them, and was planning to head there presently. However, it would help to be able to narrow down the things he needed to know about and so, having exhausted Kir as a subject (it had not taken long, the answers had been unknown), he knocked on Professor Xavier’s door, entering when called to do so.
“Good afternoon,” he smiled politely, “How are you and Dora? Did she have a nice Christmas?” he asked, both polite but also genuinely interested. Once they had exchanged a suitable amount of information on this subject, he turned to the main purpose of his visit.
“I wish to know more about the venue for the concert. Maybe you know from our proposal that I will do… some helping with how to set up,” he was still working out which of the extremely long list of things to do were his responsibility, “So I was wondering about how the stage is, and what facilities there are already with lights and so on,” he assumed that there would be some basics built in and he did not want to spend hours researching lighting if that was already taken care of. “I asked already to Kir, but he did not know, and I thought maybe the school would have this information. If not, I am happy to write to enquire as I do not wish to make work for the teachers, but also I thought you might not find it appropriate for me to write, or you would not want that many different students all write with the same question,” he explained, wanting to make clear that he was perfectly willing to do the work involved to answer his own questions and solve his own problems, he just wanted to make sure he wasn’t crossing any lines or doubling up on something that someone else was already looking into. “It is at the hotel in the… Muggle area, yes?” he asked.
