Derry Four

Derry figured it was good thing he'd been excited enough about becoming the new Teppenpaw Captain that he'd drawn up the sign-up sheet within two days of returning home for the summer. It meant that now, being miserably ill, all he had to do to fulfill his captainly duties was find the sheet and post it up on the bulletin board. This was accomplished with a minimum of difficulty, since he'd put the sign-up sheet in his Charms book where it wouldn't get crumpled and he'd be sure to remember it.

Being tired after a horrible wagon ride and the excitement of the feast, he had a little more trouble finding his Charms book, but he eventually located it beneath all of his socks. Extricating the sign-up sheet from between its pages, he flattened out the creases then brought it down to the common room and pinned it up on the board shortly after Medic Bailey brought the first years through.

He waved cheerfully at the new students, as well as some older ones, still lingering about in the Common Room, and called out invitingly, "Quidditch Sign Ups are up! All are welcome to try out!"

Carter Browning

Carter saw Derry put up the sign-up sheet for Quidditch and couldn’t wait to put his name down again. He had soo much fun the first year playing beside Arista that he was really disappointed when they cancelled it for his second year. It kinda made sense that they would with the challenges that they were participating in and all. Those kind of left almost no time for Quidditch. He spent the summers between first year and last year training at home with his dad and grandpa. Since Arista graduated last term she was no longer there for him to work with. He just hoped the team was as much fun this year. Really the only way he was going to find that out was if he signed up and tried out again. He liked the chaser thing and he seemed to be half way decent at it (or so he thought). He wasn’t sure if he wanted to sign up for that position again if he wanted to try another one this time. Since he couldn’t decide he just decided to sign-up the generic way. So pulling a quill pen out of his bag, he scribbled his name under Aubrielle’s.

Now that his name was officially on the sign up sheet he put his pen away and felt pretty good with himself. Wherever Derry decided to put him was fine with him. He had tried out just about every area there was and found that while he was fair at just about every other position he tried, he royally stunk at seeking. He had, but to wait for try-outs now to find out where he would end up.
