Oh goodness by Marie Braen

The school year had not started out well. Not only had she almost missed the transportation to the school from home, but Marie had also been late to practically every single one of her classes due to getting lost and even missed one of them. She was having trouble finding her way around the school, obviously, and also wasn’t making any friends. Which was a surprise, as Marie was usually rather good at making friends. She missed her mother and her uncle.

Simply put, Marie was miserable.

It was about eight at night on a Friday. Since she didn’t have any classes tomorrow, the girl wouldn’t start her homework until the next day, most likely. Resting in a large armchair, Marie sighed. She had almost missed the Opening Feast and finding out what house she was in, also. Marie liked Teppenpaw, though, and, from what she had seen, the kids in it. Maybe things would work out since this first hectic week had ended. Hopefully.

A book in her lap, Marie quickly jumped up, startled at a large noise right near her ear. “Augh!” she yelled.
