[Second Year Girls Dorm] All the drama by Tally

She stood in the common room unsure of what to do next. She had left Mia and her friends and had made her way through the familiar corridors and secret passageways she had discovered the year before, doing the fabulous jig and entered the common room.

She hadn't spent much time here the previous year. Mainly because her only Teppenpaw friend was Jake and he hardly spent any time here either. Truth be told, Tally hadn't made many friends within her own house, not even her dormmates.

But things would be different this year. Tally had made a promise to herself as she climbed the stairs to her dorm. This year she would make a friend of at least one of her dormmates. It was only natural after all.

She threw herself upon her bed and rolled over onto her back. She crossed her arms beneath her head and raised on knee into a relaxed position. She laid like that until she heard the door to the room creek open. She propped herself onto her elbows and gave the girl what she hoped was a welcoming smile...\n\n

oops, wrong room by Maggie

After what seemed to be the longest passageway ever, Maggie found herself doing the neccessary jig to enter the commons. It was rather sloppy, but good enough to get her in. She looked about the common room, seeing no familiar faces. Or course, she'd sat by herself at dinner, so knowing somebody was kind of a hard thing to manage.

"Guess I'll fine my room." She whispered to Jackson, her ferret. Hopefully he was allowed. Dad hadn't said anything about him not being able to go, so she packed him up with the rest of her things. Right now he was looking around the room from his favorite perch; the top of Maggie's head.

She found the stairs to the dorms all right, but which one was hers? She hesitantly knocked on one and it creaked open a little, so she stuck her head in. Maybe if there was somebody in there, she could ask for help.

The girl on the bed had on a welcoming smile. Thank you! "Um... hi, I'm sorry, but could you point me to the first year dorms?" She blushed a little bit, but smiled anyway.\n\n

Definitely not my roommates... by Tally

Tally saw a stranger in the doorway and her smile wavored slightly. Until the admitted to being lost. Tally chuckled lightly and stood up from her bed. Her brown hair falling easily around her shoulders. She surveyed the first year with an uncharacteristic depth that hadn't really ever been there before. Her green-eyed stare took in everything dealing with the girl.

"How'd you manage to miss the first year dorms?" Tally asked amused, finally moving away from her bed and toward the girl and the door. She moved past the girl and into the hall. Pointing down one flight, she said, "It's just that door there. Normally they are labeled, but I guess the elves forgot this year." Tally commented, turning to face the first year once more.

"I'm Tally Adams, by the way. Is there anything else I can help you with?" She asked with a smile.\n\n

oh, sorry by Maggie

Maggie gave an embarrassed smile and pulled on a piece of her long dark hair from her green eyes. She watched carefully as the second year pointed out the rooms. She blushed even deeper. How could she have walked right by them. Well, her mother did say her head was always up in the clouds.

"Thanks." She smiled and would have shook her head, but after having Jackson for over a year now, she knew that wasn't a good idea. Meanwhile, Jackson surveyed the room through dark little eyes. Yes plenty of ways to get into trouble. "I think that's it." She smiled. "I'm Maggie Lynch." She returned the invitation. "Thanks for the help." She smiled again, this time a little less embarrassed. Asking for directions and help was something she should probably get used to.\n\n

*shrugs* No bother by Tally

Tally noticed the blushes and gave her a questioning look. She hadn't done anything wrong to blush so much in Tally's opinion. Honestly, Tally was the Queen of getting lost, even if it's just a door over. Still, the girl was new and most likely extremely embarrassed. Tally nodded her head to the girl's introduction,

"Nice ferret." Tally commented, pointing to the creature propped on the girl's head. " I have a toad myself. His name is T.J., not to be confused with the Crotalus Second Year." Tally gestured into her room behind her where her frog was most likely laying around.

"Glad to have been of help, Maggie. If you need anything, like help moving stuff or a guide around the school, you know where to find me. I'm sure I'll see you around." Tally said, smiling at the girl before heading back into her room, only, this time, the door would remain open.\n\n

thanks by Maggie

Maggie raised her eyes to try and look at her ferret as Tally commented on him. "Thanks, his name's Jackson." She smiled. "My brother has a frog. But he isn't very nice." She pondered that for a moment before coming back to the world of the relatively normal.

"Thanks for the help, I think my stuff's already in the room." She gave another weak smile before turning down the hall to the obviously marked room. How could I have missed it! She reprimanded herself before lightly slapping her own forehead. Like her mother said, her head was usually up in the clouds.\n\n
