The small ghost girl looked around the common room. All was quiet and empty. Of course, there was a reason, it was still fairly early in the morning. The students shouldn't be up for another hour or so.
Lissy sat in front of the fire, waiting for the students to wake, a tedious job. She fidgetted with her braids for a while wondering why the living enjoyed sleep so much. Of course, she hadn't slept in the longest time, and she turned out okay! Then again, she was dead, and ghosts didn't need to sleep.
Finally, Lissy became so unbelievably bored out of her mind she thought she would die- and then she remembered she was dead again, and even boredom couldn't kill her. SO there was only one thing left to do. She stood up and floated high up into the air and yelled out, "Teppenpaw, this is your morning wake up call- WAKE UUUUUUUUUUUUUP!"
Tally was jerked awake by a scream from below. In her shock, she became tangled in her bedding and fell hard to the floor.
"Hmph" Came the only sound from her mouth as she landed. "Ow." She grumbled as she rubbed her backside and stood up. She looked around and noticed that the other Teppenpaw first years were still sound asleep. Tally was surprised that the shout didn't wake them, although she had always been more of a light sleeper.
She walked out of the dorm room and down the stairs, not really caring what she looked like at this point because curiosity had gotten the better of her. She entered the common room wearing black boxer shorts and a baggy grey t-shirt. Her hair long brown hair was pulled into a pony-tail as it was her usual way of putting it when she went to sleep at night. Rubbing her green eyes from sleep, she looked around the room for the cause of the commotion. She nearly jumped in startlement when she found a ghost waiting in the common room.
Not to say she had never seen a ghost before, she was just never woken up by one before. She frowned at the girl,
Lissy decided that one of the characteristics that Teppenpaw should be known for is its heavy sleepers. Only one person awoke to the sound of her calling, and she had yelled quite loudly. Lowering herself back to the ground so that she was right in front of the firstie she had so rudely awoken she explained.
"Oh, I had a perfectly good reason to wake you- no perfectly good reasons would be better! You see, you living people have a tendancy to sleep and awful lot, and during those times it can be quite boring for a nonliving person such as myself. There aren't even any mischief makers anymore, running about in the night," said Lissy, acting very melodramatically, but her high-pitched ever happy voice took away from the effect, "so, I decided rather than waiting- as I always do, I have called the people to wake up. Think about how lucky you are, you ave more time to get ready for a new day, and I have someone to talk to!"\n\n
Tally stared, open-mouthed, at the ghost infront of her. Was she serious? She screamed out of boredom?
"You woke me up because you had nothing better to do?" Tally asked the girl, "Couldn't you, you know, float into some other common room and scream your head off?" Tally didn't care if she was being rude, but she was tired and not a morning person. With a frown, Tally turned and made her way back up to the girls dormitory. She didn't turn back to see if the ghost was following her, but she assumed that she would be.\n\n
Lissy grinned when the living girl was yelling at her. Of course she woke her up because she was bored! It made perfectly good sense to her, anyway.
"Oh, I could have gone to any common room, I suppose. But this one was the closest, and I've quite forgotten where Crotalus and Aladren are. Maybe I'll remember again one day," Lissy sighed.
The girl decided to go back up, and because Lissy truly had nothing better to do, she followed her up the stairs. But she didn't like following after a while, and with a pop, she disappeared and reappeared right in front of the girl.
"Whatcha gonna do now?" she asked in a high-pitched sing-song voice. \n\n
Tally had heard the ghost comment about not being able to find the Crotalus or Aladren common rooms. With a smirk and a thought of Chrissy, Tally replied,
"Don't worry, I'll be sure to introduce to a friend of mine who happens to be in Crotalus.." Tally continued on her way up the stairs when the ghost appeared suddenly infront of her and blocked her way to 1st year girl dorms.
Whatcha gonna do now?
Tally's smirk grew wider as the ghost sort of challenged her.
"Well, if you aren't going to move..." Tally said vaguely before stepping straight through the ghost. It was an uncomfortably cold, almost dirty, feeling to pass through a ghost. Mainly because the ghost was still a soul of sorts and could still be felt by the human body and mind. Tally stepped quickly through her and ran up the rest of the stairs, turning back to add,
"I'll just have to walk through you." She said with a giggle as she stepped into the girls dorm.\n\n
Lissy cocked her head to the side in confusion. Most people didn't like walking through ghosts, because of the ectoplasm that could rub off on them. Oh well, maybe this girl was weird and liked to be covered in ectoplasm. Or there was the strong possibility that the girl had no idea what ectoplasm was in the first place. Or maybe she was from one of the cultures that believed in disturbing the dead- wait, they believed in not disturbing the dead.
Whatever the case was, Lissy followed her. Not by walking up the whole staircase, of course, what was the point in that? The novelty of walking through walls had never worn off for Lissy, she loved doing it, sometimes for no reason at all. So she shrugged and walked through the wall slightly on an upwards slant so she would reach the first year dormitory floor.
"You see, that's one of the novelties of being a ghost- you don't feel it when things go through you. Unless of course it has a very strong odor, then you can taste it, like food for instance, but mostly you don't feel a thing. It's fun, really, except you leave ectoplasm behind on what you go through," said Lissy still cheerfully, following the girl like a little sister stalks her older siblibgs. Lissy had done that once, but it was a very long time ago, and she chose not to think about it.\n\n
Tally glanced around at the ghost girl, but didn't comment. She looked down at herself and noticed the reminants of the ghost left on her as she had walked through and shrugged it off. She sat down on her bed and started to reach out for the picture of her mother she kept on the nighttable, beside the picture of Tally, her brother, Josh, and their father. Deciding against touching it, she grabbed the ring on the chain around her neck instead.
"I needed to take a shower anyway, and besides, you were my way." She said to the ghost without much thought or tone. Shaking her head to clear her mind, Tally turned all of her focus to the ghost as she stood to grab the things she needed to get ready for the day. She didn't care if she was being loud. If the other girls hadn't awoken now, they most likely wouldn't if Tally continued in her usual manner.
Lissy stiffened. The only thing aside from her past that could really take the cheer out of this ghost was the mentioning of her name- her whole name, that is.
"Well, my name is Elisabeth- with an 'S' not a 'Z'," she added quickly, as that was a common misconception, "but don't call me that. You can call me Betty or Elisa or anything you could think of in the moment, but most call me Lissy," the ghost explained uncomfortably, "but if you're going to be leaving, then I guess there isn't much for me to do here. These other girls seem, boring," she said the last word with disgust, "so I'll be going miss living firstie girl Tally. Maybe we will meet again." And with the smallest of pops, she was gone\n\n
well if that wasn't abrupt...ne 1 else awake?

Tally stared off where the ghost had just been. Tally hadn't really planned on living, just getting ready for the day. The ghost had been female, so Tally didn't care if she stayed, but oh well if she hadn't.
Tally walked into the bathroom that ajoined the room and slipped out of her pajamas. Once inside the shower she began to sing an old muggle song by Paul Simon,
"I can call you Betty and you can CALL ME AL!..." Her voice was good, but she rarely used it. She sang throughout the shower and hopped out in a happy mood. Quickly changing into normal clothes and brushing her teeth, Tally walked back into the girls dorm hoping that someone else was awake.\n\n
