List! List! Library Program List! by Natalie Simms
Natalie was happy, she really was. She was skipping through the Library waving her wand so that the used books would get stacked up for later revisal; this job had to be the best one ever! It was easy, it was fun and it entailed everything she loved…books and knowledge. There was nothing else she could want, ok, there was one other thing but that was beside the point. Natalie Simms was happy to be at Sonora.She continued to do her awesome job for a few more minutes, when she remembered it was time to choose the students that would be lucky enough to help her and learn something new along the way. Natalie grabbed the list from the bulletin board and read it while she walked to her desk. She was excited that 6 students wanted to be part of the excellent program Headmistress Powell had designed.
A frown made its way to her face, she needed to make the decision and unfortunately not everyone would be lucky enough to make into the program. For example the Library Monitors couldn’t be third years and below and Natalie had 3 younglings that wanted that position. She sighed, she hated that she would be the one to crush those kids dreams.
The red-headed librarian sat down, grabbed a quill and dipped it into the ink bottle. She tapped the quill on her forehead and began to ponder what should she do with the kiddies. The best way to do this was by eliminating options, so, she crossed the first and second years that’s wanted to be Monitors…when they were older they would be able to apply for that position. That left her with only one option for Monitor. She wrote the name down.
Now, she needed the assistants, that task was easier. She hummed while she wrote down the names. She smiled at her list; this was going to be such much fun!
Natalie made her way to the Bulletin Board and pinned the list of the fortunate students that would be working with her.
