Early February had rolled around, and Aaron McKindy had decided that he needed to take a visit to the library to do some research for his Advanced classes. He wanted to teach basic wizarding methods of Healing, but as was evidenced by his right arm—forearm still covered by an off-white cast—he was pretty unfamiliar with actual Healing charms. The extent of his abilities in that category hovered around the ‘healing burns, cuts and bruises’ category. While that would be useful for his Advanced kids, he also wanted to teach something else. So he had ended up in the library, amidst the shelves, looking for the books on Healing magic. Aaron wasn’t finding a whole lot on the topic, but it was better than his personal collection.
Not to mention that Garen would probably make fun of him if he found out Aaron was buying books on Healing magic. After the small fiasco over Midterm that had involved the charms professor breaking his arm, Garen had been particularly pointed when discussing things like Healing, probably because Aaron had refused to let an actual Healer look at his arm, insisting things be done the Muggle way. With the exception of the painkiling potions Garen had made him take the first few days, that had gone fairly well.
Armed with a small stack of volumes, Aaron meandered over to a grouping of tables. There was at least one person at each one of them; apparently today was a good day to study. With a slight grimace, Aaron’s grey-green eyes skipped over the tables. No, it looked like he either had to check these books out or sit with someone else. At least he had opted not to wear his usual pink bubble hat today and had stuck with casual Muggle dress.
“Excuse me,” the Italian said with a sheepish grin as he approached someone who didn’t look too deeply immersed in concentration. “Would you mind company?”
