My spot. Mine. Not yours. Mine by Zack Dill

Zack was had a favorite table in the library. It was in the muggle science section, which was what drew him to the area in the first place. The table was pushed against the wall, lined up to be perfectly centered alongside a window that looked out into the Labrynith Gardens. The table seated four people, but as far as Zack was concerned only the chair to the left of the window should be placed around his table. That one was his.

He'd been there early this morning and he was back now, after the first day of classes let out. Now was the critical time to claim his spot. Now was when most of the new kids who'd be spending significant time in the library would wander in to check it out and chose habitual spots of their own. Zack was determined none of them would chose his place.

Toward this end, he had collected a larger than normal selection of books to spread out on the table. A pile of astronomy books sat in the far corner, mostly for show. He'd already read through most of them. Chemistry books were open across from him, taken from the shelf behind his seat, and opened to random pages to make him look busy. In front of the seat beside him, he had spread a selection of paperback novels, to clutter the area. On the table directly in front of where he was seated was what he was actually working on.

His transfiguation homework. Best to get it out of the way quickly so that if anyone actually did want to avail themselves his posted offer to sell homework, he'd have time to do it. In the last three years, nobody had, but it was still a remote possibility. In the meantime, he currently had the class textbook opened to the assigned pages in front of him, two supplemental transfiguration books also opened to relevant chapters, and a healthy start to his essay written on magic paper using a real pen. He'd nearly choked himself the first time he absently tried chewing on the end of a quill and he wasn't going to risk repeating the experiance.

He was gnawing on the cap as he tried to figure out how to explain the intricacies of the transfiguration process they'd worked on that day when he realized he was no longer alone. With an irritated sigh, he slapped the pen onto the table and looked up to give the person an impatient glare. "Yes?" he prompted, his voice cracking annoyingly. Though, to be honest, he was grateful that it was finally showing its first sign of changing. He hoped (though didn't really believe) a growth spurt might follow soon, too. He'd really like to hit five feet sometime before he turned sixteen. Three inches in fourteen months didn't seem all that unreasonable, did it?\n\n

It's about time I've found you. by Ginger Silverstein

Ginger had been having a better start off this year than last year. Her withdrawl from video games was already starting to wear off completely. She had made another D&D character in the mean time. She had made a halfling theif, and she couldn't wait to try it out. She had been looking around for Zack for a while to see if he knew anyone who played so they could start up a campaign. She had also missed him, and since she chose to help Adam out, she didn't have time to talk to him during the feast.

She made a personal note in her head that she had met Zack early in the morning in the library. She didn't want to get up early, but she wanted to catch him at some point. Since it was early in the morning, Ginger put on her black Zelda beanie over her blond hair. She put on a black shirt that had Yoda on it, and her usual pair of high top converses and ripped jeans.

She gave her cat some fresh food and water, and walked out onto the labyrinth. It was cold in the morning, but it wasn't unbearable. She looked at the dew kissed grass as it rubbed up against her shoes. Ginger focused on odd things when she was tired. She yawned when she got into the school, and stepped into the library after she rubbed her yet feet on the carpet.

She looked around the library for a while, and found Zack in the exact same spot he was in last year. She looked at him, and saw that he was probably doing his homework. She wanted to turn back around and leave him to it. She didn't want to bother him, but it was too late. He had already noticed her presence.

"h-hey Zack," she said, as she started to stutter again. "D-didn't mean to bother you," she said with a small smile. "I just missed you you know?" \n\n

Hey..you guys.....long time no see.....lol by Guenther Heindrich

Guenther thought he heard two very familiar voices as he entered the one area of the library where he could usually count on seeing Zack. He had just had an encounter with a girl. It wasn't a normal encounter with a girl. He had had a slight crush on both Ginger and Spike last year, but this was nothing like that.

He thought that the girl might be a first year, not remembering her from last year. This hardly mattered to him though. He thought she was pretty and intelligent. He just wondered if Zack could give him any advice. When he saw Ginger there though, his face flushed. So his crush really hadn't gone away, but he was sure that it was just a crush. Maybe. He shook his head to clear it and looked at Ginger giving her a sincere smile. "Hey Ginger. I hear you play D&D. Zack here told me."

He would wait until he had Zack alone. Surely, an older boy could help him with his girl problem before he died from certain embarrassement.\n\n

just the people I was hoping to see by Zack Dill

Oh, it was just Ginger. Zack relaxed and picked up his pen again (more because he liked to have something for his fingers to play with than because he intended to use it). "Oh, hey, it's you. No problem." He tapped the transfiguration essay with the pen's chewed cap, "I was just trying to get this done early." He wasn't sure whether to be grateful his voice hadn't cracked anywhere in there, or upset that it now seemed content to remain in the higher registers.

He breifly considered clearing a space for her on the table, but decided it would be a bad precident. Still, the chairs weren't actually being used, so he gestured to one of them and invited, "Take a seat."

Before she could, though, Guenther showed up, which was just perfect for what he'd meant to talk with Ginger about. He grinned brightly in greeting and pointed to another chair, "Hey, Guenther, sit, or I'll get a crick in my neck." It was bad enough when they were both standing; with Zack sitting, the height difference was even worse. "And D&D was exactly what I wanted to talk to you both about."\n\n

Awsome ^_^ by Ginger Silverstein

Ginger turned around for a second when she saw Guenther show up. There he was blushing again, what was up with him these days? If she knew what was going on with him, she would probably be blushing, and paranoid too. However she wasn't thinking like that, so she was confused. She took a seat, and put her bookbag with the different patches and pins and logos all over it on the back of her chair. She was happy that Zack wasn't upset when he saw her. It made her feel a lot more comfortable.

She gave him a shy smile, and looked over to Guenther. She yawned, and placed her elbos on the table, and placed a hand on her face. She blinked a couple times, and giggled when Zack made fun of Guenther for being so tall. Considering that Zack was so short for his age he kind of had the right to. He was still a little taller than Ginger, so he wasn't completely short. But Ginger still had time to grow, but she was sure Zack did too.

She smiled brightly when Zack said that D&D was what he wanted to talk to them both about. "Sweet," she said. "We so have to do a campagin, but we need a DM. I've never DMed before, I just got into it about two years ago."
