Liliana Bannister

August 22, 2016 1:18 PM
Liliana had been so focuses on the battle over the Quaffle between the chasers that she did not see the glint of the Golden Snitch as it teases the Seekers. She did see the mad race to catch the Snitch however and waited with baited breath to see who would succeed. Perhaps it was because it was their last match and this would be the last Snitch she's ever see get caught as a player, but she was so focused on the Snitch that she rather forgot about the hoops. That's not to say she completely abandoned her position, but she was not really keeping an eye out for the Quaffle or any of the Chasers anymore.

The catch happened so quickly that Liliana wasn't even sure whether or not Jamie had ensnared the Snitch before tumbling to the ground or not and she felt her heart leap into her throat in the seconds Jamie was piled on the ground. She didn't see the Snitch anywhere but that didn't necessarily mean Jamie had caught it. For all she knew it had flown upwards and Clark had swooped in.

And then Jamie stood up and began to chant the team name and Liliana...Liliana did not know what to think. She let out a little shriek of delight and flew down from her hoops, jumping off her broom when it was close enough to landed but before her feet touched the ground and she ran as fast as she possibly could, planning only to tackle Jamie Park in a hug to rival any other one she might or might not have given him in the past.

"You did it, Park!" She screamed in excitement as she reached him, her voice close to eardrum shattering. And then, she did it.

Liliana Bannister grabbed her Seeker's face and kissed him right on the lips in front of the entire team--the entire school, to be exact. It was a quick kiss, perhaps lasting only a second or two, but she didn't even apologise when she let go of him to embrace the next closest member of their team in a victory hug.

Atlas Primred

August 23, 2016 1:24 AM
Atlas was busy looking for another bludger when he heard the faint sounds of his house being chanted. When he finally took notice, all he could see we Park celebrating on the field and a twinkle of gold in his hand. Atlas floated in the air, stunned for a moment, before finally letting the excitement of it take over.

"Whoo hoo!" He shouted, flying down to meet up with the man of the hour. Of course they all worked hard this game, but it was Park's good eye that really made all their dreams a reality. The final game of his Sonora years an they won! Liliana had beaten him to Park, no doubt ready to congratulate her little Seeker. Atlas had intended give the boy a high five or ruffle of his hair, but apparently Liliana had something much more.... friendly...in mind.

"Liliana!?" He exclaimed incredulously, practically falling off his broom as he landed on the pitch. Atlas was speechless, his mind racing through the list of things he wanted to say, none of them very appropriate. She was a lot of things but kissing teammates, underclassman teammates, boy teammates?

He felt his stomach knot for the millionth time that day. The game was over, they had won it, but there was no pride inside him. The happiness he had basked in for only a second was crushed by his own wretchedness. There were so many things he wanted to do in that moment, like smack Jamie, yell, or run away. In the end, all he could do was stand there as his eyes moved between Jamie and Liliana.

Joella Curtis

August 23, 2016 4:23 PM
As to be expected given her position, Joella was far too immersed in the intense battle going on between the two opposing Chaser teams (and the bludgers raining down on them) to even realise that a win was on the tips of their fingers. It was only when the distinctive chanting of “Pecari” met her ears, accompanied by a roar of excitement from the audience surrounding them in the stands, that she became aware of what had happened.

Jamie had caught the snitch! The game was over and Pecari had won! This was their first success against Aladren in all of Joella’s five years at Sonora and it just so happened to be the championships, the final decider for who won the Quidditch Cup.

It was all too much to sink in immediately but right now all the fifth year knew was that she was elated, and so very full of adrenaline.

Soon she was joining those on the ground, dismounting her broom and sprinting to congratulate Pecari’s golden ticket. She practically threw herself at Jamie Park as she jumped on him from behind, glad when she saw that Liliana had broken off her kiss with him before she did so (otherwise that would have been weird). She didn’t blame the captain for such a display of affection - as hard as the whole team had worked today, it was Jamie who had ultimately won them the game, Liliana’s last game, and she was clearly so so happy.

“You did it! You did it!” she exclaimed, essentially clinging to the Pecari Seeker back.

“We did it!” she amended as she planted both feet back on the ground in order to tackle the rest of her team. “We won!”

She wasn’t about to forget the value of good sportsmanship, of course, and would go on to shake hands with the Aladren players and thank them for a good game but that could wait a moment longer. Right now, she could not leave a single teammate unhugged.
