Fighting all the way by Ash and Sorrel

"Ash, I do NOT need to see the nurse!" Sorrel protested indignantly. Since when had he had the right to be the big brother? She was twenty-four whole minutes older than him!

"Yes you do," he insisted, not bothering to try and reason with her. It was break time, Defence Against the Dark Arts having been first thing that morning. Also known as Concussions 'R' Us. Not that he thought Sorrie had concussion. He really hoped not... It was probably school policy to write home and tell the parents not to sue if that happened. Then he'd be in trouble for being too rough. Not because she was a girl, and couldn't handle it. Mr and Mrs Craven knew perfectly well that the twins were equally capable of pushing each other around, but they also knew it was just play. They got annoyed if either twin took it too far.

"I don't!" Sorrel insisted. Ok, her head hurt. Well big boo hoo. She'd scraped her knees worse without running to mummy for a plaster.

"Do. Don't make me pick you up or drag you Sorrel, it really is undignified," he sniffed reprovingly, "Plus," he said, trying to play on something he knew was important to her, "you'd hate to be slow witted and make a bad first impression in Potions, wouldn't you?"

Sorrel muttered angrily something about being able to beat him at Potions if she was unconscious, but she stonked towards the hospital wing anyway. "Fine, but I'm doing the talking," she told him darkly.

She wrenched the door open, looking for the nurse.

"My idiot brother tried to knock me out with a desk because he was to magically inept to use a knockback jinx so resorted to doing it Muggle style," she informed the nurse. "And, even though I'm fine, really, it's just a slight bump and I've had far worse, in spite of inflicting the injury on me in the first place, he's gone into over protective doofus mode and made me come and waste your time."

Ash had closed the door behind Sorrel and himself, and was now leaning on it, trying to phase her out. She wasn't sorry he'd dragged her, and he knew it. It was all part of the joke teasing. And he wasn't going to start scrapping with her when she was a) hurt and b) it was his fault.

I see.. by Jack Harper, medic

"I see." Jack said, looking up from his notes. The girl had not even bothered to knock, and had startled him. The boy who dragged her, as she had said, was her brother. "Well, I know from experience that the knockback jinx can get pretty aggrivating, let's have a look at that, why don't we? Would you please have a seat here? You're name is?" He asked, motioning her towards one of the beds in the center of the room.
She appeared to have a minor concussion, or if not that then a nasty bump, either way she would need the bump reduced, which he could do easily enough. After that it would be the simple matter of determining the extent of the dammage to her brain.

Glad to see the medic's eyesight works by Sorrel and Ash

Sorrel refrained from pointing out that that had been no excuse for her brother to ram her into a desk, Muggle rugby style. She didn't want him to cop a detention because she tattled. It was about the worst betrayal of the sibling bond. Plus it had been kind of cool. And she got to claim feathers for the First Trip to Infirmary. 'Claiming feathers' was a phrase the twins had, based on all their games of Indians and Indians as kids (being an Indian was more fun, because you got to scalp people, so they both always opted to play that part). The feathers in a Brave's headband were marked differently depending on how well he'd done in battle. Seeing as the twins both thought serious injury quite a fun hobby, the more spectacular your injury, the more feathers you got. You also got them for things like being the first to stain or tear a nice outfit bought for a family event. They'd lost count of the number of feathers they each had long ago, but it was still a fun tradition.

"Feathers for first visit," she mouthed at Ash, winking. He grinned back. Now they would both be out for 'feathers for first permanant scar'. This was since starting Sonora, of course. They had had many visits to doctors, accident and emergency wards, and scarring incidents before now.

"Sorrel Craven," she replied to the medic, passing the first anti-concussion test of knowing and being able to pronounce her name, with flying colours, "You?" she added, raising her eyebrows. She had a right to know who was prodding her. "And it's only a slight bump. Really."

Just a small bump by Jack Harper, Medic

"Jack Harper. Nice to meet you Sorrell," Jack replied, smiling. He made a note on his clipboard. She knew her name and what had happened to her, so that was a pretty telling sign that she did not have a concussion.
"So, just a slight bump you say?" He took a step closer, pushing on the bump on her forehead to see the extent of the injuury. It was not actually as big as it had first appeared. "Well, let me give you some medicine for that headache you are undoubtedly suffering from. And I'll give you a bandage for that," he said, pointing at the cut on her arm that was bleeding heavily. "I'll patch it up, but it might leave a permanent scar. That looks pretty deep."

That's what I've been saying all along! by Ash and Sorrel

OOC - Sorrel didn't do anything that would result in her arm bleeding, and I haven't mentioned any other injury but a hit her head, so please can you not invent them for my character? Thanks, and sorry if I sound grumpy - I'm not. I know it takes time to get the hang of RPing.

BIC:
"Thanks," said Sorrel, trying not to sound too curt. The medic was a good person to keep on the good side of, especially when you were one of the Craven twins - you tended to require their service an awful lot. However, the guy was beginning to get on her nerves. She'd banged her head. She had been able to tell him this clearly and concisely, but he'd still acted like she was very likely brain damaged or about to lapse into unconsciousness. And now he poking her injury and then saying it must hurt!

*Well duh - it does now!* she thought. *People pressing places where you've injured yourself tends to be painful.*

"I've had worse, honestly," she said, as he went to get her medicine. She was more likely to seem polite if she chatted, rather than sitting smouldering about what an idiot he was. "I probably wouldn't have bothered you, but I thought I'd need to be able to concentrate in classes this afternoon, so..." She shrugged, giving him a smile and wanting to gag at how nauseatingly sweet she was being. Ash was going to rip the piss of her later...

OOC by Sorrel

Ahhhhhhh, I wondered where you'd got the idea from... It makes more sense now! :-D No worries, like I said, it takes time to get into the swing - the only reason I know what's what (or at least I think I do) is this is my second RP, and I've been at the other one for about a year and a quarter. Wow... That's scary....
