Flying by Zoey and Dillon

Zoey and Dillon marched onto the pitch with the rest of the first years just in time to see their professor streaking toward the ground on her broom.

Zoey, not understanding what was happening, nearly screamed out in panic when suddenly, her Professor straightened and climbed off her broom. Zoey gave a sigh of relief and released she had grabbed ahold of her brother's arm in her panic. Dillon was watching her in an amused, yet pain filled face.

"Sorry Dill, won't happen again." She said as her freckled face blushed with embarrassment.

"Of course it will." He said with a smile. They stood by and listened to their coach explain the rules and what they were suppose to do.

Zoey eyed the broom warily, flying was not her thing. Dillon, however, was hopping around just itching to get a try at it. Always the adventurer Zoey mused.

Sighing she placed her dominant hand above the ground and croaked out,

"UP!" nothing happened, the broom didn't even wiggle. She frowned and looked around. Most people had at least a small reaction. Dillon's broom seemed to be unable to make up its mind as it was hopping up and down, but never within his reach. Zoey laughed at the look of anger on his face before returning to hers.

"UP!" She said again and with little succes as the first time.

"UP!" Nothing

"UP, UP, UP, UP!!!" She cried out, frustrated and angry when nothing happened. She wanted very much to stomp her feet and whine like any other eleven year old would, but she reframed. Her brother seemed to be having the same trouble with her when she turned to see his progress.

"UP!" Dillon cried out, surprised when the broom jerked quickly, but his reactions where to slow and the broom smacked him hard in the nose, "OUCH!" His hands went to his nose and the broom fly quietly around him. He could hear Zoey laughing from beside him, "Shut-it Zoe!" He said angrily. Zoey continued, but returned to the task at hand. This time she said the word with all the determination she could muster,

"UP!" And up the broom flew into her hand. She cried out in triumph and danced in her spot beside her angry brother.
