First year Teppenpaws! by Pippa Brockert, Teppenpaw Prefect
As she sat down at the Teppenpaw table, Pippa felt a little sad. This would be her last year at Sonora and though she had no close friends, she would still miss the school. It was like she was saying goodbye to her carefree years. This time next year, Pippa might be married or even pregnant .Not that she didn't look forward to either of those things. She couldn't wait to have kids. A little boy to carry on Justin's family name and two little girls who would love each other and be best friends, the way she had always wanted to be with Tawny and never was. They would be an ideal family.
The seventh year watched the first years be sorted, noting that there were not nearly as many Teppenpaws as last year. Pippa listened to Headmaster Regal's speech, clapping for both Dulce and Nina as they were made prefect but frowning over the ball. The theme was fine with her, but the last one had lead to just heaps of trouble for the Teppenpaw. Her parents had not been pleased when she'd gone with Juri.
Plus, this time she needed to have a date, as prefects usually lead dances, and it wouldn't be proper for her to dance with anyone other than Justin. What would Pippa do if they didn't allow outside guests?
As the speech finished and the feast went on, Pippa was informed that Professor Crosby was not feeling well and asked to lead the Teppenpaw first years to the commons. So, as soon as Deputy Headmistress Pierce-something that was going to make her grandmother so mad - stood up to lead the new Crotali, Pippa stood up, casted a Sonorus Charm on herself and called out "Teppenpaw first years, follow me!"
