What a puzzle... by Midterm Treat

It was tradition at the school for there to be a midterm activity, something fun to entertain the student who would not be going home for the holiday. Of course, the thick white blanket of snow that now covered the grounds would provide plenty of amusement in itself: snowball fights, making snowmen and sledging were just a few activities often enjoyed. Yet for those who preferred to spend the majority of their time indoors, there was a new challenge.

Near the beginning of the holiday, students entering the Cascade Hall would notice a large foam mat spread out on the floor in one corner of the room. Upon the mat there was a note. It read:

I have one thousand pieces, hidden all around the school.
Your challenge, as you may have guessed, is to find them all.
Then put me back together so the puzzle is complete
And all you clever students will receive a well-earned treat!

Underneath the note, should anyone lift it to find out, was hidden one small jigsaw piece: a corner, and entirely black, giving no hints about what the final picture may show. The rest of the pieces reamined to be found.

(OOC: The jigsaw pieces can be hidden anywhere you choose within the school grounds - please stick to the posting rules if your character will take part in this activity. Have fun!)
