The sky was purple.

It was like nothing Evan had ever seen before, it was amazing and beautiful and completely inspiring . He wasn't familiar with clouds like that and had no idea what one meant, or what would come out of one. Unlike most Aladrens, who would no doubt go look up and see what such a cloud meant, he would rather artistically interpret what it could, what it would eventually produce. It might be something dangerous, but it could also be something spectactular. Or both. Come to think of it, it was probably smarter to stay inside and not go risk being pelted with drops of some sort of poison.

Given that he didn't take Potions-too structured and not enough room for creativity-upon seeing the unique conditions outside, Evan skipped breakfast-though he knew he'd be hungry later-and headed directly to the Art Room. He didn't even have a chance to notice that there weren't any staff members around. He was much more interested in his latest idea for an art project than in any commotion going on around the school. In fact Evan, unsurprisingly, really hadn't noticed anything different that way. Maybe they were just in for a cool weather show that couldn't do anything but entertain them. Still not taking any chances that something toxic might come through though. After all, toxic things had been allowed into Sonora before. Look at Carrie O'Malley.

Now what to use for the clouds? Well, Evan had two choices, cotton balls and pom-poms. While he loved the latter, the former seemed to have more benefit at this point. Like he could even put red and blue clouds with red and blue coloring dripping out of them to make this cloud purple. And maybe other places were covered with green or orange clouds, so he could make like, a circle of primary colored clouds over the secondary colored ones. Not only could the red and blue make the purple cloud but the blue cloud could mix with a yellow cloud and what came out of them could make the green cloud and then what came out of the yellow and red clouds could make the orange one! It would be truly awesome.

For just a moment, Evan was distracted from figuring out what other materials to use, while he considered the question as to whether or not his rendering might be accurate . Like if this was affecting the whole country or even the whole world and he had to wonder where each set of clouds overlapped. Obviously things had to be divided into thirds and Evan couldn't help but be curious about which sky each of his family members was seeing. What color clouds were over Oregon? Colorado? New Jersey? Wisconsin? Were other countries affected, so was the sky different from normal where Chelsea was? Evan bet that whatever color it was, his grandpa was enjoying it.

And if that was the case than Muggles must be seeing it too. That was a very bad thing, people would be working overtime on modifying the memories of every single Muggle in the country. Or world. This was a prospect that seemed overwhelming to Evan and he was really glad he wouldn't have to do it. Not that he expected it to be just the responsibility of one person, he expected everyone with the capability would have to help out and while the Aladren seemed to be a fairly talented wizard-not just artistically or in transfiguration-with a goal of becoming an Occlumens-mostly in self-defense, as Nora was working to become a Legilimens, something Evan was going to make sure to warn Lucille about-modifying memories was not something he had the ability to do, or had the desire to have the ability to do. Whether there were legitimate reasons for it to happen or not.

Evan turned his attention back to his project. Now paint was just too....thick to use for the precipitation that would come out of the clouds. Maybe that stuff used for tie-dying! And he could put paper underneath and it would get all colorful and look so amazing. The Aladren set to work on the project, getting so involved that he didn't even notice when someone else entered the room.
