Chelsea... by A School Owl

The school owl liked the short flights from dormitory to dormitory. He usually was only required to carry a letter or two, nothing heavy, a couple hundred feet. Plus, he got fed on both ends. He really lucked out this time. The dark-haired young girl had tied three letters to his leg and two of them were even going to the same dorm. Four treats for just two short flights. Mmmm.

The Aladren commons was a little closer so he went there first, even though only one of the letters was meant for a recipient there. The letters were light anyway, so it wasn't as if carrying two to the next stop was going to tax him.

He shifted the letters around a bit so that one meant for Chelsea Brockert was more readily visible than the ones for Cecily Smythe and Anabel McIntosh.

The letter enclosed was short and simple. The owl had been not been told to wait for a reply, but he was hopeful that he might get a response, which would let him get not four but five treats for this round of delivery.

Chelsea,

I was thinking that we might all meet a few hours before the ball. We could do each other's hair and make-up and help each other with any other preparations we might need.

Kisses,
Holly Thistle
