To certain 5th years and all of 4th year Crotali by Fae Sinclair

Fae had decided to be a bit friendlier this year that she had in years previous. She wasn’t entirely sure why this was suddenly something of importance to her but figured it had something to do with all the upcoming parties and constant surrounding of people she was going to be thrust into that made her attempt to be more social towards her classmates. Shelby said it was always better to appear forthcoming and polite than distant and cold. Fae was hoping that she didn’t seem cold, but she didn’t want to take her chances. Besides, she wanted to give holiday cheer to her friends.

The school owl arrived in Crotalus the morning the students were set to departure back home for the holidays. On these cards were the names of several classmates; Paul Bennett, Eliza Bennett, Daisy Thorpe, Ryan O’Malley, and Jordan Adair. These cards were generic, but Fae tried her best with them. Each card had a different holiday picture on it and included either a pair of knitted gloves or a scarf that Fae had knitted herself. The boys tended to have, blue, black, green, or red colors while the girls had pink, white, red, or purple.

Have a wonderful midterm and a very Merry Christmas! If I do not see you for the holiday parties, I wish you the best of luck with your own.

Happy Holidays!

Fae Sinclair

The second group of letters were for those with whom Fae shared a relationship with. These classmates included Alice Adair, Topher Calhaun, and Phoenix Lucore. The cards themselves were similar to the more generic ones and also included either a pair of gloves or scarf with the same variety of colors.

Dear Alice,

Merry Christmas! I hope you can make it to our holiday party! It would be wonderful to have a familiar face there and get me through the bore. Keep in touch and let me know if you end up with the gifts that you wanted. I’ll see you on the other side of midterm. Have fun and try not to be too serious during the break!

Happy Holidays,
Fae Fae

Dear Phoenix,

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope you get loads of gifts from your family and eat your heart out with delicious foods! I’ll see you on the other side of midterm. Stay safe and warm!

Happy Holidays,
Fae

Dear Topher,

Thanks for helping me out with all my lessons and things. It’s been really good getting to know you this term. Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year. I hope your gifts are of great splendor. See you on the other side of midterm!

Happy Holidays,

Fae
