For Earl's eyes only. Stay away Hens. by Asher Tallow

Earl was not in the Common Room. Not unless he was hiding, anyway, and in that case, Asher had plenty of experience in dealing with the scouting out of hiding places. She more than proved this by over turning two of the couches and squeezing herself up behind the drapes into the window wells. Earl was not in any of the locations, and so, Earl was definitely not in the room. This small detail put a minor cramp in Asher's plans.

She had hoped to find Earl before dinner, convince him to come to the library after the meal, and then have the inaugural meeting of the Society Against Stuck-Up Hens, or SASUH for short. But Earl was NOT being cooperative, and she certainly was not about to yell up the boys' corridor for him to come down. Instead, she sprawled out into one of the plush chairs with an impatient huff and glared at a piece of parchment tacked up on the wall.

For nearly three minutes she glared without reading the largely lettered title, and when she finally did, inspiration struck. She could leave him a note- one that none of the Hens would care about in the least because it'd be next to the Quidditch Tryout one. Disdain by association or something like that.

She dug into her robe's pockets, searching for a small piece stucked in during a class earlier. Her fingers finally lighted on a wrinkled scrap and she pulled it out. A grin snapped across her lips once she recognized its origin. How absolutely perfect! The wrinkled bit of parchment had once been crushed into a ball and used in that fight in Astronomy- the fight that procured that IOU she was now cashing in on.

Asher smoothed out the parchment as best she could and then wrote, very carefully, her cryptic message.

Doesn't this parchment look familiar? It might bring memories of a certain welt on your forehead. It's time for you to pay up on that IOU. Meet me outside the library today, after dinner. And don't be late.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Does that mean that my brain can't get in on the action? by Earl

Earl wandered out of his room for dinner a little later than he would have usually liked, but he was drawing something (or someone, to be more specific) for Eaven, and it had taken longer than anticipated. His stomach grumbled from the lack of food. He was a growing boy and need all the nutrients he could get.

As he passed out of the common room, his own name caught his eye on the bulletin board. And it wasn't his large handwriting that it was written in. This note had another style to it.

He read it carefully, and, grinning, continued on his way to dinner. This year might be fun after all.\n\n

OOC by Asher

Just so it's not confused, the note doesn't have Earl's name on it. It's written so that only Earl, or maybe Laura, would know what it's talking about.\n\n
