A Letter for Holly Greer by Fred, the owl

A growing Barn Owl swooped into the Pecari common room like a man on a mission. If an owl could have facial expressions, Fred’s would have had a look of utter seriousness and concentration. He was a strange owl and seemingly fit right in with the family who took him home from the shop. It was because of the affection he was shown while at home that Fred took his duties as seriously as he did.

Fred looked around the common room for his target and happened to spot her in a chair. Dropping down, Fred stood straight in front of her, his chest puffed out in pride as he extended his leg for her to take her letter.

Dear Holly,

I received an owl recently from your mother who had given permission to your brother in allowing him to keep a Puffskein. However, your brother declined the offer to own his own Puffskein. Your mother had also extended her permission to include you incase Daniel did not want the little creature. As he has offerred not to keep his Puffskein, I am extending the offer to you. If you wish to have the Puffskein, you are welcomed to come pick up the creature at any time.

Sincerely,
Professor K.

While Fred had sat and waited for a response from Daniel, he took off the moment the letter was in Holly’s hands. As his owner had stated a response wasn’t necessary, he decided that he’d head straight home incase of there was more work for him to do.
