Letter for Holly Thistle by Lilac, a School Owl

Lilac was a fair tempered owl, and was perfectly content to be sent on short journeys for deliveries. This delivery was a very short journey, because it merely involved traveling to two different rooms within the school itself. Having already been to the Aladren commons first, Lilac next flew to the Pecari commons, where she waited patiently to be admitted. Once inside, Lilac sought out her final recipient; a second year girl named Miss Thistle.

The post was a short letter written in neat cursive, that read,

I wonder if you would be interested in discussing with me some important issues that affect us all, including appropriate decorum for young ladies in modern society. I would be delighted to be graced with your input and your company tomorrow afternoon in the library. Please bring a guest, should you so desire.

Fondest regards, Cecily Smythe.

Once the letter had been detached, Lilac's job was complete. Satisfied, she flew off again immediately, back to the owlry for a well-earned rest.
