Psh, plotting in the dorms... by Cissy Tarwater and Darci Analai

Cissy stormed into her room angrily, chucking the puffskein she had recently recieved from Care of Magical Creatures at the wall. She heard the stupid thing cry, but Cissy was never one to care about crying. Lussni and Paul cried all the time, what was one more to add? And besides, Cissy was angry, she stormed onto her bed and leaned back. "Where is that annoying Red?" she muttered, remembering the stuck-up girl from her own house who Cissy had taken an immediate disliking too. "Paul, the baby, is probably in his dorm, can't get in there. But Red..."

Cissy stopped to look at the person who just entered.

Darci Analai, the brown haired brown eyed girl with freckles, was tired around now. She just wanted to get to sleep after her last class, and so the second it was over she sprinted up to her dorm. Coming in, Darci was surprised to see the other girl sitting there. As well as hear the crying animal. Darci frowned as she jogged to where the sound was heard and pulled a crying puffskein from behind one of the other girls' beds.

"You deaf or something?" Darci gave the girl a glare. "Or are you just a jerk when it comes to animals?" Darci may seem the type to abuse people, and she was the type. She loved annoying people, and animals. Her own cat, Tink, was downstairs. Darci always punished the cat when it did something wrong, but it was never abuse.

The only animal she truely hated were parrots. That stupid girl from Ally's school had three, and they never shut up. Once Darci told Ally that if you gave her a room with all the parrots in the world in cages and a cupboard filled with bats and other clubs, in a hour you could come in and see nothing but feathers lying around a bunch of clubs in the corner, and a very happy Darci. But no one ever had an excuse for hurting something like a puffskein. They weren't annoying, especially since hey didn't bite or talk. Just purred.

"What's it to you?" Cissy commented back, not even bothering to glare at this girl. Her mind was already set on completely ruining Red and her reputation.

"I just figure, if you're mad it doesn't give you any right to abuse things," Darci sighed, checking the puffskein for bruises or anything. She found it was bleeding a little and put some pressure on the cut to clot it.

"If I'm mad," Cissy began, "I have every right in the world to abuse anything I wish. Right now, the stupid animal is lucky I didn't hurt it further, but I already have my sights on someone." Cissy didn't care if she just blew her cover to this girl. Not like it mattered. Who would believe her?

"Well then, someone bothering you? What did this person do?" Darci grinned wildly, taking her finger from the puffskein's cut and moving to another. "I'm very good at ruining people, only if it comes to self-defense though. What did this person do?" If the person who bugged this girl was anything like that tracy from her school, Darci would be glad to help.

Cissy gave the girl a smile, and opened her mouth to speak, but was completely interrupted by the opening of a door. By which both girls went back to acting their sweetest.\n\n

May I join you? by Nathalie

Nathalie hovered just outside the dorm, listening to the muffled shouts from inside. They dropped to a chatter, and she guessed that whoever it was in there, they had decided to keep it down. When it became apparent that she wasn't going to hear anything more through the door, she tucked her puffskein deeper into her bag, ran her fingers quickly through her hair and then pulled herself taller, flinging her shoulders back as Signora Bellocchio, her much-loved etiquette instructor in Italy, had always taught her to do before entering a room.

Fixing a smile on her face, she pushed the door open. Inside the dorm were two girls, both of whom were wearing smiles, one holding a puffskein. "Sorry, am I interrupting anything?" Nath asked, smiling back. She dropped her puffskein carelessly on her bed, where it bounced and squeaked happily, and looked around for her cats, or even her owl. Seeing neither, she scooped Giselle up again and deposited her on the floor. "Do puffskeins like playing together?" She mused aloud. "Dieu, I hope so, I'm not entertaining one every day. I've got enough animals as it is without this one. Do you think we can leave them here or not?"

She addressed this last question to the two other girls directly, turning to face them slightly, though she heaved her bag onto her bed as she did so. Once she had finished, she upturned the bag, allowing a mess of scrolls of parchment and quills to pour out. She extracted a few ribbons from the cabinet next to her bed and sat cross-legged, making labels to attach to each scroll, one for every lesson. As she did so, she kept one ear open to hear an answer.\n\n

Do you enjoy plotting too? by Cissy and Darci

Darci and Cissy both watched as one of their roommates walked in. Neither girl had made the time to talk to any of their roommates, but for different reasons. Darci rathered being with her brother and talking to him about missing home and Ally and such than talking to others her age. Cissy also rathered being with her brother, but not for comfort. Not for his anyway. She also disliked people and rathered to not be bothered by, well, anyone.

Well, either way, the girl was in here. Had just walked in on the two just getting past argument and going to plotting against someone else. Cissy kept her grin, but also kept silent, not wishing to talk to the girl who'd just walked in. Darci, however, was never one to let silence engulf anything. So the Irish girl chose to answer her roommate. "Oh no, we were just talking. We haven't made the time to talk with our roommates earlier, so I guess we're letting all that out now," she said with a grin. "I'm Darci Analai, who are you?"

Over in the background, Cissy scoffed lightly and quietly. First the brown haired girl came in and gave her a "puffskein rights speech," then asks if she needs help plotting against Red, and now was making friendly conversation with another useless roommate. Cissy didn't know what to think of either girl, but chose to still keep quiet and not ruin herself by speaking.

Darci, however, brought Cissy's bleeding puffskein over to her own bed and plopped down on it, giving the girl a studying look. While looking, Darci placed pressure on another of the poor puffskein's cuts while it gave a sort of soft giggling cry to her touch. She wondered why the pwoplw in this house were so immensly odd to her, and also wondered if other houses were the same.\n\n

Please, my middle name is plotting (or Katrina) by Nathalie

"Oh no, we were just talking. We haven't made the time to talk with our roommates earlier, so I guess we're letting all that out now, I'm Darci Analai, who are you?" Darci spoke with an Irish accent, and gave her a grin as she finished.

"Nath Grant." Nathalie answered, not really watching Darci, who seemed to be fairly harmless, but the other girl. She was still smiling, but had almost completely ignored Nathalie. "And you?" She asked her, hoping to draw her into the conversation.

Before she could answer, though, there was a sudden clatter at one of the windows and Nath spun to see who (or what) it was, her long auburn braid slapping her painfully in the face as she did so. Tossing it back over her shoulder, she crossed to the window, where an owl was hovering. "Is this anyone's?" She asked, knowing it was too small to be hers. It was clutching a fat brown envelope, but the writing was too small to see any names.\n\n

Hm... I like Katrina a bit better by Darci and Cissy

Darci looked sheepishly over at Cissy, whom Nath just addressed. The black haired girl didn't seem the type to play friendly with others. Darci had suspicions about her, but didn't want Nath to get involved.

Cissy, however, gave the girl a raised eyebrow and snorted softly under her breath. Did she think Cissy was honestly a talker? Stupid girl, she'd jsut better not get in Cissy's way when it came down to hunting Paul or Red. Or else Miss Grant would find herself on Cissy's list.

"That's Cissy," Darci answered Nath's question quickly. "She's... not much of a talker." Sounds like Kavin, Darci thought, wanting to roll her eyes. Except Cissy seems a bit crueler than my brother or me.

While Darci was saying that, however, an owl crashed through the window. Cissy jumped and both girls looked to where Nath and the owl were. Darci pulled her dark brown hair over her shouler and ran her hand through the front, trying to calm down.

Cissy just shook her head and looked at the owl. She hopped off her bed and held out her hand to see the big envelope. "Let me see," she said in a quiet, but commanding tone. Darci also made her way to the window where her two roommates were.

"Whose is it?" she asked.

Cissy looked at it. "Can't tell, who wants to open it first," she said, tossing it on the bed. "Might be a prank."\n\n

Getting interisting in here... by Irene

Irene trudged up the stairs to her dorm ever-so-slightly miffed. He bag tearing in the middle of the stairs wasn't so bad. Her books falling to bottom of the stairs where they were trodded on... she wasn't happy. What did make her happy was to be back to her dorm where she could flop onto her bed and drift into wonderous sleep.

Irene pushed open the door to find her three roommates huddled around one of the beds. Her annoyance was replaced with curiosity.

Cissy looked at it. "Can't tell, who wants to open it first," she said, tossing it on the bed. "Might be a prank."

Irene set her books on her beside table. She observed the letter lying still on the bed. The corners were not smoking and the letter seemed harmless. But seemed was a key word. She felt her curiosity prodding. She felt daring. Adrenaline was rushing.

"I'll open it," Irene volenteered. "Nice way to start of a year; with a prank, right?"

Irene reached towards the letter but did not pick it up in case of an objection.\n\n

No idea what's going to happen... by Irene Liddowe

After no objections arose, Irene picked up the letter. She looked it over, back and front, trying to find a hint as to what it may be. Nothing was there. It honestly looked like just an ordinary letter.

"Here it goes..." Irene muttered as she began to open to top of the envelope slowly. She tore the first inch open. Her curiosity about to burst inside her, she tore open the remainder of the envelope...

OOC: Anyone have prank ideas? Cissy? Someone can take over from here. \n\n
