[2nd Year Boys Dorm] Settling in by Jake

Jake wandered the halls of the school without much purpose. He hadn't done any exploring the year before and would have to make a point of doing so this year. He had heard of Tally's stories whenever she had gotten lost (which had been quite often) and had always found that amusing. Now he just wanted an adventure of his own.

He did the now familiar jig, though had complained all last year about the darn thing, and walked into the common room. The first years had made their marks already. His dark eyes occasionally saw a pair around the room and a lopsided grin popped onto his face. Maybe this year their common room won't be such a bore.

He made his way up to the boys' dorm and plopped down onto his large bed. Of all the places other than the Quiddtich pitch, he loved his bed the most. It was large and comfy. Just how he liked it. He saw his roommate across the room and shot him his characteristic playful smile,

"Hey, having fun yet?"\n\n

Unpacking and what-not by DIllon

Dillon had said farewell to his sister and the rest of the first years before making his way back to the common room and then to the boys' dorms. It was odd to be in the room labeled for second years, but still cool all the same.

He had already made it through most of his unpacking by the time Jake sauntered into the room. Even though they had lived together for a year, Dillon didn't really know much about him. Jake somewhat intimidated him actually. Though, he didn't really know why as the kid had been nothing but nice to Dillon.

Hey, having fun yet?

The question brought out a sarcastic snort from Dillon who shook his head smiling, "Oh yeah, loads of fun for me. I just love to unplack all of my clothes, books, and entertainment stuff. It's what I live for." Dillon stopped what he was doing for a moment and looked over at his roommate, "and you, man, have you had loads of fun since we've arrived?"\n\n

Chitter and chatter by Jake

Jake smiled as Dillon joked with him. He was surprised to find that Dillon even had a sense of humor. For all of last year, Jake hardly saw much of him and when he did, Dillon always had some book or anything in his hands. At Dillon's question, it was Jake's turn to snort.

"Just ate some dinner with Liz and Bella. You know Liz, right? Liz Lavine. Black hair, blue eyes, always wears boots?" Jake paused for a moment to see Dillon's reaction before continuing, "And Bella's my little sister. She's a first year Aladren. I haven't really had a chance to see anyone else though. I'll have to yell up to Tal and see how's she behaving. Maybe drop by the Cravens during breakfast or class or something. What about you? How's your sister and stuff?"\n\n

just some small talk amongst mates by Dillon

"Yeah, I've seen her in class and stuff, but have never actually met her." Dillon said when Jake questioned him about knowing Elizabeth. Dillon hadn't really gone out of his way last year to meet a lot of people. Having not really gotten to know his roommate should have allowed anyone to see at least that much.

"I didn't know you had a sister.." Dillon commented quietly. "Zoe's fine as far as I know. Probably locked herself in her room reading a book or something. I think she really took to Quidditch though. It was fun to play." Dillon said with a smile. "The family's good. We went on vacation to North Carolina this summer to visit some family. Great state. Other than that, we hadn't really done much of anything." Dillon finished his unpacking at turned back to Jake,

"Want to go see what Tally's up to?"\n\n
