nerves w/o friends by Tally

Tally bit her lip nervously as she glanced around the common room. The room was spectacular, nothing like the home she had grown up in.

Her father was a muggle-born wizard and had wanted his children to grow up knowing both worlds, so she had been raised as if she were a muggle, but with knowledge of the magical world, as her mother was a Healer and her father and brother were Aurors.

She sighed as she looked around the room. The friends she had made at the feast were all in different houses than her own. She noted that there were plenty of girls she could become friends with. Were they snobbish girlie-girls (the worst type of girl in Tally's opinion) or shy book-worms? She smiled when she noticed that there more boys in this house than in the others. She had more boy-friends back home than she did girls. Being raised by her father and brother had done that to her. She planned on making more female friends, but that had always been difficult for her to do.

She sighed again and sat down on the couch. Her long brown hair was now a wild mes around her head, having been lost stumbling to find her way around the school more than once this evening. Her green eyes felt heavy to her and her small body wanted nothing more than to sleep. So she sat and waited. Waiting was something she had always been good at.\n\n

I'm alone as well, maybe we could be alone together? by Fawn Summers

Fawn did the insanely difficult to remember jig and thanked the Powers that Be that the door to the Common Room finally opened. It was the third time she'd tried to open it, she was beginning to think that she'd have to wait for another student to come along and open it for her. That would have been extremely embarassing.

Giving a small, triumphant smile at the doorway, she stepped inside and looked around. There were a lot of people, she didn't really know anyone yet. Seeing everyone in crowds talking to one another, Fawn didn't feel like interrupting anyone. She just wanted a place to sit down and possibly read or chat with someone. Groups were not really her thing.

Seeing a girl who looked about her age sitting on a sofa by herself, she decided to go over and ask if she could sit with her. Pushing her black hair out of her face and hoisting her bag farther up onto her shoulder, she approached the brunette and gave a friendly smile.

"Hi there," she said, "My name's Fawn Summers. Do you mind if I join you? You seem normal, at least you don't look cannibalistic or something like that. I'd appreciate it if you'd warn me ahead of time if you are, so I can avoid angering you and ending up in a stew. That doesn't sound too pleasant."\n\n

OOC by Professor Manfred Bulla

Fawn, buddy, see that line up above? Looks like you were a little jumpy with the posting! No posting down here thank you, and please recall that as at the very least the next couple of days will be all about arriving, recall that your character will be yet to learn the password-dance.

In happier news, I expect to be leading all of you and demonstrating the password sometime within the next twenty-four hours. Hope to see you then!\n\n

Ah, so sorry, please forgive me. That's what I get for trying to post and work at the same time, I suppose. Just ignore it if it happens again!
