Preparing for a sticky situation (Starbuck) by Tawny Brockert

Tawny sat, waiting in the library for Red-Haired Twerp to show up. She hoped she would not be waiting long, as she was not a patient person and there might be consequences for the other girl if she took too long to get there.

She had sent the younger girl a note earlier in the day asking her to meet Tawny there. The third year had taken it upon herself to mix up a batch of Super Stick potion and it was almost ready. Now was the time to get their plans in order, to glue Singing Twerp's lips shut.

Tawny hoped that Red-haired Twerp would show. She would be sorry if she crossed Tawny. The elder Pecari had not implied as such in her note, people did not always respond well to threats unless they were appropriately terrified and she didn't think Red-haired Twerp was. Which was good, really. If she wasn't, she would never see it coming if Tawny had the need for revenge.

Instead she had phrased it as something that was beneficial for Red-haired Twerp, their other roommates and the house as a whole. Tawny had never really gotten it, but most Pecaris had a weird sense of house pride. She could see it in Crotalus, as they were known as the most respectable house and Aladren for being smart. Even Teppenpaw could boast right now about winning the Quidditch championships, though Tawny didn't really care about it. Oh, she would have been mad if Pippa had actually been on the team but fortunately, Pippa was afraid of both disappointing their parents and of objects flying at her. Tawny took full credit for the latter.

She had to wonder though, if Pippa would go against their family for love . Tawny had seen her working with her muggleborn in Potions. Fortunately, the Pecari had been too enthralled in her work to get too grossed out and jealous.

And Tawny was. She wanted someone to like her really. She wanted her first kiss. Even though Tawny knew she shouldn't as it was improper to kiss someone she wasn't betrothed to. Still, Tawny wanted to feel that someone really cared about her.

Besides, it wasn't proper to like Potions either. Nor would it be to use potions to glue the lips of an annoying little twit shut but that wasn't going to stop her.

Tawny looked up to see the person she'd been waiting for. "There you are. I've been waiting for you." She greeted Red-haired Twerp, making it sound like she had been waiting much longer than she had.

This sounds promising by Starbuck

Starbuck was still feeling a bit under the weather but at least she was starting to feel better. She had been surprised when she had found the note from Tawny. After the conversation before term she hadn’t thought much about the older girl. Of course midterm had happened and her mind had gone to Farrah and the Quidditch Finale. She had debated on if she should meet Tawny or not the girl seemed a bit demanding. Finally the red head decided to see what the older girl wanted.

She made her way into the Library wearing a pair of jeans, a muggle band t-shirt, and her long red hair was braided into two pigtails. She saw Tawny and slowly made her way over. She was about to greet Tawny when she looked up at her and said. “There you are. I've been waiting for you." Starbuck looked down for a moment.

“I’m sorry, I had to drop my bag off and get changed.” She said as she flopped down in the chair across from the girl. She didn’t mention she had also taken the time to braid her hair that might upset the older Pecari. “So what’s up, why did you need to see me?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.

It is, Promise. by Tawny

As Red-haired Twerp seemed properly apologetic enough for Tawny's tastes and as the older Pecari had not really been waiting all that long, she decided against berating her housemate for it. "It's all right, I suppose." Tawny replied.

"Remember when we talked last about making it so your irritating roommate couldn't talk anymore? Well, I was not joking about it and I brewed this." Tawny produced a vial of the Super Stick potion.

It had been a joy just to do the process of making it. Not only did Tawny just adore potions, and not only was she pretty good at it, but just picturing Singing Twerp being unable to talk-which alternated between two images as she was still not entirely sure which one Singing Twerp was, just that she wasn't the red-head and she wasn't Nina-filled Tawny with glee.

She continued. "All you have to do is slip this into something she's drinking and her lips will be glued shut." Tawny's eyes lit up at this and her own lips curved into some semblance of a smile. She wasn't doing this so much for the good of Red-haired Twerp, nor the other two Pecari second year girls. She was naturally doing it for herself. Singing Twerp was so unbearably annoying.

Actually, gluing her lips shut might make the rest of the Pecaris happy as well because then they wouldn't have to listen to her. Perhaps they would consider Tawny a heroine and love her for it. She craved that, that adoration, which she had always felt had been denied to her by her parents and given to Pippa.

Tawny might get detention for it, but if everyone in Pecari loved her for it, it would be so worth it. Besides, what Pecari didn't love a good prank?
