Cookbooks. Magical cookbooks. Who knew that Sonora would have this much of a variety! Darla sure didn't. She was surprised, only expecting a few titles that had barely any good recipies. But here was an entire bookshelf dedicated to the fine art of magical cooking. Sure, about half of them were pure crap, pranks as others would call them. And some had little things her mother had taught her to do when she was five. But then there were the few that had advanced recipies.

A perfect way to make the perfect pumpkin juice. Stuffing a huge pig while having it walk around as if alive so you wouldn't have to bring it in youself. Making real French Bread and making it taste the same way five years after it was made. Chocolate frogs and magical jelly beans were also some things. Peanut butter spiders was also found in dessert books. Darla could barely stand taking just one out. She wanted them.

Grinning, the small first year pulled out four. One dessert book, a preserving book, and just two recipie books, and stuffed them in her bag, closing the flap. This was great, now all she needed were some supplies to make them over. Which Momma and Dad were sure to give her for Christmas. It was fun being her over Midterm. There were no classes, and Darla was allowed to explore without a lot of students getting in her way. And best of all, they wouldn't see her beaming as she looked around the bookshelf for more great recipies to try.\n\n
